Rural Cyprus is at your fingertips on this whistle stop tour. The morning kicks off with first stop at Petra tou Romiou for photographs (available only for guests from Paphos town). Aphrodite’s mythical birthplace ‘Petra tou Romiou’ is an interesting geological formation of huge rocks along one of the most beautiful coastlines on the island. Then you will continue with a visit of Kourion–one of the most impressive archaeological sites on the island. It’s classic Greco-Roman, with a half-moon of seats facing out to sea. Kolossi Castle is the next stop. This Crusader-era castle is surrounded by flowering plants and a pretty courtyard. Hop back on the air-conditioned bus and head to Fini village where lunch will be served at a local tavern. Next stop, the mountain-ringed village of Omodos where you will have a guided walk through the village. Lastly, you will have the opportunity to taste traditional Cyprus wine in a local winery before heading back to the resorts.

Kourion
Kourion is one of the most impressive archaeological sites on the island. Visit it’s classic Greco-Roman theatre, with a half-moon of seats, is facing out to sea. You will also visit the ‘House of Eustolios’, which was originally a private villa that was turned into a public recreation centre during the Early Christian period.

1.00Do not trust this company. We received numerous emails regarding the pickup, and including what the app said. This was incorrect information. When the bus did not pick us up we were told that we had received an email a month before saying a different pick up location which we did not get. Despite the app and every email saying one pick up location they have refused to give us a refund and will not answer why. There are much more trustworthy companies

4.00Enjoyed all aspects of the day and the various stops included. The guide gave an excellent overview and potted histories of Cyprus and the places we visited. As we were first pick-up and last drop off, it did make it quite a long day ( about 9.5 hours in total ). This was the only real downside to the day. The meal was delicious although wine wasn't great. Ruins and Amphitheatre were well worth seeing. Village pretty and not too bustling. Vineyard was very informative with nice wines to taste and buy. And then a history lesson to top it off on the way home from the guide, Chris. Not to mention our driver Nacho was fantastic.
We wouldn't have missed it.

1.00Picked up at 8.40am from the hotel. Not until 10:30 first stop. Barely half an hour from the bus. Back half an hour on the bus. Quick off for a picture and back on the bus. Back half an hour drive. Half an hour stop at the crypts. Back on the bus. 2am in Paphos. No free time! Back on the bus towards hotel 3h30! Back at hotel at 7pm. Not recommended! Not worth money!

3.00The main reason we booked this trip was to visit Kourion and Kolossi castle. We only got 45 minutes at Kourion and most of that time was spent at the amphitheatre. We didn’t have time to go and see the rest of the city, ( which is what we really wanted to see) as we were told to get back to the coach. Included in the price of the ticket was entry to Kourion and Kolossi castle, but as I’m a pensioner, I don’t pay for entry to the government sponsored historical sites!
