KR Market Photo Walk is curated by Tours+, a Rustik Travel initiative to Explore, Discover and Learn about the cities, towns and the places we live in or we visit. We cover history, culture, heritage, architecture, spirituality and more during these tours, and in this case street photography.
Learn the nuances of photography through your camera phones or DSLR cameras while you walk around the crowded marketplaces and streets of Bangalore. You will learn the street photography the way it is meant to.

5.00Awesome experience, especially for first-time visitors! Rajesh is an amazing guide: friendly, knowledgeable, well organized and accommodating. We started our tour at the hotel, went to the regional government, learnt about India’s modern history, proceeded to the KR market and experienced the full local impression in a wonderfully busy place. Later we visited some temples and got some coffee. Rajesh has been our guide for repeated trips, and he comes highly recommended because everything is just right!

5.00My childhood friend from Germany visited me in Bangalore with her kids. Rajesh from Rustik travel made a lovely itinerary for us. The first stop was Vidhan Soudha where Rajesh regaled us with tales about royalty, the Raj and our freedom fighters. Next we visited the lovely Gavi Gangadhareshwar cave temple. My friend and her family were charmed by the beauty of this temple in a busy neighbourhood. Bonus- I got to see super star Rajnikanth’s primary school which is right next door! This was followed by a visit to the majestic Bull temple and the beautiful Lal Bagh where Rajesh showed us the ancient Peninsular Gneiss rock and we got to see some gorgeous old trees. The trip ended with a visit to the bustling KR market where colour and chaos reigned supreme! It was an amazing experience! Thank you so much Rajesh and Rustik travel for making my friend’s experience so memorable! I will be back to learn more about Namma Bengaluru!

5.00"You will explore Bengaluru’s iconic flower, vegetable & fruit market and capture the hustle-bustle & colours with your camera." – and there I was on another interesting walk curated by @rnair2008 sir, an expert in History & Temple Architecture and Co-founder of @rustiktravel along with Ramnath Siva, a Bengaluru-based street photography expert. @rustiktravel hosted KR Market Photo Walk on 09-Dec-2023 as a part of @unboxingblrhabba We met at the scheduled start point and stopped interim to receive instructions about the routes, meeting points and time allocated at each stop. Ramnath briefed us about ISO settings to moderate the shutter speed, benefits of eye level contact with people, angles to capture subjects, the importance of lighting and a bit of aspect ratio. With these basic guidelines, we were inspired to invoke the photographer within us. Amidst the chaos of sellers, buyers, traffic cops and BBMP workers, we immersed ourselves into the art of capturing photographs - some focused and many at random. We clicked at vegetables, fruits, flowers, spices, colour powders, daily essentials amongst others with smiles from vendors. Thank you Rajesh sir and Ramnath, I had a wonderful time.

5.00Really enjoyed the photo walk with Rajesh and Ram from Rustik Travel. I enjoyed the historical background as well as photo tips! The market is buzzing with energy and people were so nice to let us take pictures while they were busy doing their job. I find it hard to go in a busy market to take pixtures, so this walk is perfect as it took away some of the fear to take out the camera in such a busy place. Highly recommend!

5.00The company actually customized a tour for us encompassing the KR Market Photo Walk, Medieval Bengaluru Walk, and the Namma Bangalore Walk. My three guests and I very much enjoyed all aspects of the tour. Both Hemant and Rajesh were our guides. They have a wealth of knowledge about India and Bangalore. Everyone in our group found out interesting things about each area and the history of Bangalore. As a native English speaker, II had no difficulty understanding them. My guests were English second language speakers (with their native language being French). They were able to understand just about everything as well. Because we were not familiar with the area, they met us at the metro exit when we arrived by metro, which was much appreciated. Somehow, even with all four of us on the tour stopping to take pictures of subjects that caught each of our individual fancies, they did not lose us in the crowded marketplace. They did a wonderful job of tying all the information together from one stop to the next. Hopefully I will have the chance to use them again.

5.00Rustik did a great job coordinating this photowalk in Bangalore’s busiest area. They explained the heritage part of it, guided us on the photography aspects and ensured that we started and finished on time. This is a difficult place to visit on one’s own and it helped immensely to be in a group. Ramnath (photo mentor) and Rajesh (heritage guide) were always on hand to ably sort out our issues. Along with Hemant of Rustik, the trio are doing a great job of reaching out to explain the history of Bangalore. Many thanks to them for their valuable time and heartfelt efforts. Truly impressed! May their tribe increase. Look forward to more.
