  Thanks to Gerrie for an amazing experience. His love for nature is contagious and his knowledge is simply astounding. He made our trip fun and interesting doing his best to show us as much as he could. He was wonderful with our young children - ages 6 and 8, relating to them on their level. We all had such a wonderful time and will definitely recommend him to any future visitors to the Kruger Park. He took beautiful photos of all our sightings and sent them to us that same evening! This was definitely the highlight of our visit.

  We did a morning safari. Our guide was Derrick. We had a great time. We saw a lot of animals because Derrick made every effort to find the right places. Derrick is a super guide! We are still reminiscing about all the beauty we saw. The communication with the organisation was also very good!   Absolutely spectacular! Our guide, Harry, picked us up directly from our lodging for an out of this world game drive. He was incredible and so informative. We saw the Big Five and so much more. We have done many game drives before but this one was a notch above. HIGHLY recommend booking with Kruger Gateway Safari and ask for Harry. You won’t regret it. Thank you for the special memories!

  Gerrie was such an excelent guide! We saw 4 of big 5 in such a very short time that I couldn’t believe it! He knows everything about animals including nice stories. We can definitly see that he loves animals and nature! He also was very flexible about changing the time and the place to let us after the kruger park. It was one of the most memorable days of my life and I will never forget. After the tour, he shared the pictures that he took with us. It was wonderful!   Gerrie was, without a doubt, the best guide I’ve ever had the pleasure of touring with. His incredible knowledge and genuine passion for wildlife made our two tours an unforgettable experience. From expertly spotting animals to sharing fascinating details about their behavior and habitats, Gerrie made every moment of the safari engaging and memorable. What made the experience even more special were the insightful conversations we had with Gerrie about South African history and life. His understanding of the country’s culture and past added depth to the journey and gave us a greater appreciation for the region. If you’re planning a safari, I couldn’t recommend Gerrie more highly. He created an experience that we’ll carry with us for a long time to come! :)

  This was a superb experience, communicative, punctual, and all round gave me comfort that it was a professional operation prior to the trip. The transport was great and you could see so much more from the high position. And with regards to our guide Gary, he was knowledgeable, responsive, very friendly and a pleasure to spend the day with.   We had a fantastic half day sunrise safari tour with Gerrie. The early start was more than worth it to see the huge range of wildlife on offer. Gerrie was so informative and knowledgable of the animals and the park, and answered all the questions we had. He did his utmost to find the animals we wanted to see, and gave us recommendations for our next safari. We saw lions, giraffes, buffalo, elephants and a variety of beautiful birds to name a few. Thanks for an unforgettable experience.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our half day private safari experience. Well worth the early rise to see the different animals in this beautiful park. The communication and directions from Gerrie prior to safari made the trip easy and our guide for the morning was informative, helpful and well suited to our family. Our 14 year old son had many questions to which our guide engaged with, while actively searching and using his knowledge of the park to find the animals we wished to see. Thank you Gerrie and Cameron for a great experience.

  The best for a family trip! Highly recommend Kruger Gateway Safaris. This is now an annual trip that we book with Gerrie. Third year and as exiting as the first time. Gerrie is so knowledgeable and the kids just love doing a trip with him. Will most definitely book again next year for our Kruger holiday!
