Kruja Castle
Kruja fortress is best known in the fifteenth century when our national hero Gjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg had his headquarters in the years of resistance to the Ottoman conquest. It has an elliptical shape and a circumference of 804 m, occupies a surface of 2.5 ha of land, and is built on a rocky hill. Archaeological excavations of 1978 prove that the hill has been inhabited since the 3rd century BC while the fortress was built around V-VI century AD. Inside the fortress, we will visit the Skanderbeg & Ethnographic Museum and the Dollma Masjid.
Pazari i Vjeter
We will go through the bazaar of Kruja, lying on both sides of a cobblestone road leading all the way to the fortress. The local calls it Derexhiku Bazaar. The bazaar has been functional since the Scanderbeg Times, on XV century when its shops were up to the entrance of the fortress. Nowadays you will find all the locals products, like wool hand made carpets, traditional clothes, tools, etc.

5.00This was an excellent tour, led by Aldo. His knowledge re the sites we visited, as well as insight re Albania, past and present, was superb. He clearly loves his country. I don't think we would have learned as much if we went on multiple tours with other guides. Communication throughout the process with AlbaniaMyWay, from selection to booking to confirmation, was prompt via email and WhatsApp. We travel a lot throughout Europe, the UK and Asia. This is one of the best tours we've taken. 100% recommend the tour company and Aldo.

5.00My son and I had a private tour. Our guide Ana met us punctually at our destination and was extremely friendly from the very outset. She was also our driver and was both confident and drove very well. She provided us with a lot of information throughout our tour as well as details about local customs and practices. Most importantly, she went out of her way to satisfy our special requests such as visiting a Venetian mask factory in Shkodra and having a seafood lunch, which was truly outstanding. My son and I very much enjoyed the day we spent with Ana and are grateful for all the trouble she took to ensure that our last tour during our stay in Albania was truly memorable.

5.00Shkodra is a nice city ,the pedestrian area is clean and has many souvenir shops, coffes and restaurants, with a relaxing atmosphere ..the tour guide IIir is extremely knowledgeable and helpful .

5.00Excellent day trip.. Eni the tour guide has been exceptionally good and 10 on 10 to her .. Ample time to explore both Kruja and shkodra .. If you are in Albania for few days only ; I recommend to take this tour..
