In this tour, the visitor will get insight into the city of Kruje the first Albanian capital and center of resistance against the Ottoman invasion. The Castle and the famous Museum dedicated to the Albanian National Hero, Scanderbeg, are the main attractions to visit. The highlight of the visit though is the free time in a traditional bazaar. Kruja Bazaar

The Kruja Bazaar is famous for being one of the oldest in Albania. The construction of the beautiful and fascinating marketplace of Krujë dates back over 400 years, and was the starting point of free trade among the city’s most established merchants. It is in this particular bazaar that traders first began to officially exchange various kinds of goods with one another. Conveniently located on the main road leading to the Castle of Kruja, the space forms part of the museum while also serving its traditional commercial purpose.

What an experience! Adrian is such a great guide. The Mountain Views from the castle were breathtaking. The museum was full of interesting history, and the FOOD! Not to even mention the local shops. Such a unique experience. I can’t wait to bring my family. This was my second of three tours with this agency in Albania so far and they have not seen the last of me.
