    My worst tour guide experience ever booked through Viator. The tour guide was more or less a taxi driver. He only dropped and picked me to places of interest without saying much and was waiting in the car. He only escorted me to two tourist traps in the hope I would buy something, so he gets his commission: the batik shop & the chocolate shop. He did not know when the National Mosque opens, so I was there at 08:30am and I was informed that you can visit as a non-Muslim only between 09:30am until 12:30pm. At 12:15pm he suddenly drove then back to the mosque but he did not tell me. Once reached the place again, I said no need as only 15 minutes are left to visit the mosque. Then he started complaining how difficult life is and how much now the coconut cost and his wife cannot make curry as she did not buy coconut. So he expects from you tip. All my previous Viator tour guides were amazing in other countries but this guy was a total disappointment.

    I enjoyed it but there was a lot of visits to places where you were in a situation of buying rather than sightseeing …only to see the Batu caves, Chinese temple, mosque and square and lots of drive by and short stops which left all these for shopping experience perfume / chocolate / clothes / silver etc having said that the solves factory was interesting and the driver was very helpful

    This trip includes many sightseeing opportunities, our driver didn’t share much information and it felt like we were simply being driven from place to place rather than being on a tour.
