Discover Kutná Hora the comfortable way — without the rushing typical of most tours. Spend a full day exploring in a small group at a relaxed, unhurried pace.
After convenient hotel pickup in Prague, we begin at a rarely visited folk village museum. We peek into traditional huts and learn about Czech crafts and traditions.
After lunch, we explore Kutná Hora, once one of Europe’s richest towns. Visit two cathedrals, stroll cobblestone lanes and see the Royal Mint and Palace. We also stop at viewpoints or meet artisans like a winemaker, ceramicist or jeweler.
We end the day at the Bone Church (Sedlec Ossuary), visiting in the late afternoon when it is usually quieter, before returning to Prague.
Please note: The folk museum is closed on Mondays and in winter (Nov, Dec 31–Mar 15). On these dates, we visit alternatives such as Český Šternberk Castle or the Folk Costume Museum.

Your guide will take you through a peaceful countryside museum filled with timbered cottages, barns, and historic interiors that capture centuries of Czech village life. Step inside homes, peek into an old schoolroom or stable, and discover folk traditions — some of which are still alive today. Please note: The open-air museum is closed on Mondays and seasonally in November and from December 31 to March 15. 5.00Czech Out Tours was so awesome! We did 3 days of tours with them on our visit to Prague and they were all really great!! We visited Kutna Hora with Ondrej and Jana with a small group. It was really well organized. First we stopped at a beautiful Castlw and had a tour there. Then we went to Kitna Hora. Both guides were very knowledgeable and gave great information about the history on the town as well as some history of the country. We visited the bone church, 2 cathedrals a chocolate shop which had a little museum. We also had a great lunch and the opportunity for some wine tasting. I highly recommend Czech Out tours!!!

5.00“We had a wonderful experience with Andrew from Czech Out Tours. He was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about Prague and Czech history. He shared so many interesting stories and details that we never would have learned on our own. The tour was well planned, relaxed, and enjoyable from start to finish. Andrew’s enthusiasm and sense of humor made the day even better. Highly recommend! As a side note, we booked another tour with Andrew to Karlovy the next day!!!

5.00I would strongly recommend this tour. We had a lovely day with our guide Ondrej. Our day began with a very comfortable drive in a spacious van and we were provided with water and a snack. Our trip involved a stop at an historic village on our way to Kutna Hora. It was really interesting to see how people lived hundreds of years ago. Kunta Hora is a beautiful town and the bone church was an experience we will not forget. Ondrej is very knowledgeable about the history of this town and its historic buildings and churches. The views are incredible and we had the opportunity to take some great photos. We made a surprise stop at a small boutique chocolate shop, had a chocolate tasting with some very unique chocolate, and the best hot chocolate I’ve ever tasted. We chose the tour with lunch and unlike other tours with lunch, the restaurant we went to was a local restaurant. The food was delicious, there were many options, and we had a fantastic view of the church from our table. I did this tour with my 83 year old mother and she managed without issue. All in all it was a lovely day.

5.00This day trip from Prague was just what we needed! A day outside the city touring a quaint little folk village, followed by tours of St Barbara’s Cathedral, and the Bone Church (Ossuary). We had a fantastic lunch in Kutna Hora, recommended by our knowledgeable and respectful tour guide Ondrej. After lunch we then toured St James church, went to a delightful chocolate museum/shop (free samples!!), and did a wine tasting (local wine!) outside St. James. We had a timed entry at the ossuary (which was creepy-cool!), but before we were allowed in, we stopped at a nice jewelry shop. I was seduced by some beautiful garnet pieces (very reasonable prices!), and the purchase was made even better by a taste of some apricot liqueur! Please note that there are no photos to be taken inside the ossuary, so put your cameras away and take it all in with your brain. It really is something to behold… Another note about Ondrej: He was safe and timely with our pick up (right outside our Airbnb) and was very communicative throughout the process. Ondrej also spoke magnificent English, and translated when needed! I highly recommend doing this day trip!!!

5.00Such a great little town away from the hustle and bustle of Prague. Communication from Ondrej was great and informative and helpful came right on time to pick me up from my hotel. He even sent his live location! Ondrej kept the conversation lively and gave us all sorts of fun tidbits throughout the day. Kuna Hora was amazing. The Bone Church was impressive, the garnet store was beautiful, and the churches were stunning. I learned about Bohemia glass and Czech garnets. All the hidden gems sprinkled throughout the day were really special and I ended up with so many keepsakes. There was time for a little wine, a little souvenir shopping, and lunch was delightful. Of all the tours I took in Prague that week, this service was above and beyond- from the wifi in the van, to Ondrej helping me out with things that needed translation. I highly recommend taking this tour and any other tours from Czech Out tours. Read less
