Al Qurain Martyrs Museum

Al-Qurain Martyrs Museum is a prominent national landmark in Kuwait, located in the Al-Qurain area within the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate. The museum commemorates a heroic battle that took place on February 24, 1991, during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, in which 12 young men from the “Messila” resistance group were martyred while defending their homeland. Originally a house used as a base by the Kuwaiti resistance, the building was later transformed into a museum by the order of the late Emir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to honor the martyrs’ sacrifices. The museum is overseen by the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters and features exhibits including photographs of the martyrs, their personal belongings, weapons used in the battle, a screening room, and a library. Al-Qurain Martyrs Museum stands as a symbol of sacrifice and loyalty, attracting visitors from within Kuwait and abroad to learn about the history of the Kuwaiti resistance during the invasion.

Tareq Rajab Museum is one of the most prominent cultural landmarks in Kuwait, located in the Jabriya area. It was established in 1980 by Dr. Tareq Sayid Rajab and his British wife, Jehan Welborne.
