My wife and I had an amazing time on this tour. We were in a small group of just six people, including our tour guide, Taira, which made the experience feel very personal and enjoyable. Taira was everything you could ask for in a guide—charismatic, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about Japan’s history and culture. He made each stop meaningful with his insights and stories, and his enthusiasm really added to the experience. Taira also went above and beyond by pointing out the best spots for photos and offering to take some of us throughout the tour. Highly recommend!

Ai was wonderful! She took us around Fushimi Inari, the Bamboo Forest, and the Golden Temple around Kyoto. She was able to answer every question we threw at her, and even asked us some of her own, which made us feel as though we were less on a tour and more just on a trip with a friend. 10/10 day!

This tour was the perfect way to beat the crowds at some of the top attractions in Kyoto. Ai made the experience all the more memorable. She was incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the sites, and more than happy to provide recommendations for other attractions and restaurants around the city. On top of it all, Ai knows the best photo spots and is a phenomenal photographer - she captured pictures of us we’ll forever cherish.

Sam (Soichiro) was an amazing guide for our Kyoto tour! He contacted us in advance with helpful information, including how to set up our transit card and where to meet - complete with photos. We visited the Golden Temple, Bamboo Forest, and Fushimi Inari Shrine. At each stop, Sam shared interesting historical and cultural insights and patiently answered all of our questions. His English was excellent, and we had no trouble understanding or communicating with him. He even helped me with my transit card issue without any fuss - you were so kind! He's also a fantastic photographer - he knew the best spots for photos and happily took as many pictures as we wanted. The photo he captured of our family in the Bamboo Forest was so stunning - it looked like it belonged in a travel magazine or photo contest. Since seeing the Bamboo Forest was on my Japan tour wish list, I was extremely happy that we had such a perfect picture to memorialize the tour. After the tour, Sam didn't just say goodbye - he went the extra mile and sent us a list of recommended restaurants and shopping spots. We followed his suggestion and had a delicious Wagyu sukiyaki dinner at one of the places he recommended. It was an excellent way to end a beautiful day. At the end of the tour, Sam asked us - frequent travelers - where he should visit next summer. We recommended Southern California: the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, sunny San Diego, exciting Las Vegas for Cirque du Soleil shows, and or course, the Grand Canyon. Maybe we are biased (we're from SoCal!), but with perfect weather and so much to see, we truly hope he gets the chance to visit! Thank you, Sam - you were the perfect guide!

This was a great way to see the Fushimi Inari Shrine, Arashiyama Bamboo Garden, and Kinkaku-ji (Golden temple). Our guide, Taira, was very knowledgeable and fun. We really enjoyed it and recommend to anyone as they are some of the coolest things to see in Kyoto.
