Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine
You can see Japan's background that is off-limits to ordinary tourists after the tour. This short trip is a fantastic and great value way of experiencing Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine! We are here to help you discover new things, the Fushimi Inari Shrine is so more than its famous tunnels of vermillion-red torii gates. Most people are satisfied by a scenic view of it. But this has a lot of stories to tell that will connect you to the Japan's history and culture and your guide will show you deeper. You will see a fascinating story attached to the origin of the shrine dedicated to the god of grains – that’s what “Inari” means – . This is also why you’ll see statues of the fox around the shrine. “Kitsune” or the fox is a servant to the god Inari. They are cunning tricksters, clever minded animals who make perfect guides for the treacherous business world. You may would want the foxes on your side after this tour.

Our guide Kazuo provided us with a great customized tour of Kyoto. We were able to see the bamboo forest, Kinkakuji Temple, Gion District & Fushimi Inari Shrine. He was very informative & brought us to a great Tempura restaurant.

My wife and I traveled to Kobe on a cruise and really wanted to see Kyoto. Through Viator we were connected with a driver, Mr Suzuki, and a guide, Mr Yamaguchi. These two gentlemen made are tight schedule work, enabled us to see the best parts of Kyoto with ease, professionalism and kindness. We have some mobility issues, but Mr Yamaguchi always looked for the easiest route possible, without affecting the experience. We were picked up on time, accomplished both our touring and shopping requests and delivered back to the port on time. A wonderful experience and we highly recommend these two gentlemen

The day we took the tour with Ichiro was my birthday. He is such a thorough, knowledgeable and humble human that our day was just perfect. He knew every spot to take a picture and made sure he offered. I have so many family pictures from the best spots on this tour. Ichiro met us at the port and made us feel welcome. Ichiro is fit and took us to some of the coolest places always in the lead, always checking on us. We climbed really cool steps to hang out with and feed the Macaque monkeys. Yes, we got a picture there too! He shared fascinating insights about the area, the wildlife, the Arishyama bamboo forest, food, Gion/Geishas and Samurai districts, the Fushimi Iniri-Taisha shrine, Shinto and Buddhism religions, and everything in-between. He really showed us the ropes. It was a memorable and enriching experience. His passion for the Japan was contagious, and his positive attitude was a joy to be around. We felt comfortable about asking him anything and he answered us candidly. We didn't want to lose time eating lunch so he took us to a market and we ate on the road. We highly recommend Ichiro. He really made my birthday and our trip to the Kyoto Prefecture exceptional.

Yuka was awesome and friendly and picked us and dropped off at the cruise port. The driver knew all the quick ways around Kyoto and when to pick us up. Wow, we had a full day to see the monkey park, (wow, it’s a hour hike up a steep hill (mountain) back and forth, but it had rest benches to catch your breath. Yuka did not rush us old folks lol. We had plenty of time to see the monkeys, take pictures and feed them. We seen the Tori gates, bamboo forest, monkey park, golden pavilion, Gion where my husband had time to get his Starbucks Gion coffee. We even had time for souvenirs. Perfect excursion for Kyoto! We highly recommend this excursion!

What a great day long tour in Kyoto with our exceptional guide Kiriko, from Japan Guide Agency. We were on a cruise port stop in Kobe and wanted to see many sights that Kobe is famous for. We booked our tour and Kiriko quickly reached out via email to customize a perfect (and very full) day based on what my wife and I wanted. During our tour, Kiriko made quite a few changes on the fly based on what we saw and expected crowds. We cannot recommend Kiriko enough, knowledgeable, friendly, professional, she is the best! A shoutout to our driver, Haruhiko - he got us everywhere we wanted to go, was very professional and flexible with our schedule, and was very funny to talk to. Thanks to Kiriko, and Haruhiko for a perfect day and one we will remember forever!

Kiriko, our guide created a perfect itinerary that was quite full but met our hopes for a fast paced day that covered quite a few sites. My wife and I landed in Kobe on a cruise port stop and arranged our own tour with Kiriko. Her email communications with us were very thorough and she created a perfect day - our best in our whole Japan trip. Kiriko explained so much throughout our day, and made changes on the fly when we saw something interesting. We cannot recommend Kiriko enough!! Our driver, Haruhiko was exceptional. He got us everywhere we wanted to go and was friendly and professional, not to mention very funny. We enjoyed being with him for the day.

Tour guide didn’t speak English. A lot of money was paid and he wasn’t accommodating with kids and couldn’t answer basic questions about sites in English. It was very frustrating. After returning from the trip he wanted us to pay extra. Which we agreed to pay by card and he asked us to look at our wallets for cash. He treated us like we were stealing from him. It was embarrassing and his behavior unacceptable. Management for the agency didn’t care about it and just ansewered that the guide is well rated and we refused to pay. Everything was paid from the beginning and there was an extra fee of 30 usd that we happily agreed. Just not by cash
