The Fushimi district is not about the famous "Fushimi Inari" and its thousand gates.
It is about learning more about one of the most significant moments in Japanese history and exploring an area in Kyoto that hasn't been conquered by international travelers and still keeps its authenticity and reflects an amazing local vibe just a few minutes away from Kyoto station.

Visit the number one landmark in Japan, Fushimi Inari Shrine. You will learn about the origin of the spirit of Inari, and discover a few hidden spots in that area that most people don't know about. We will still do our very best to give you the most amazing shot possible inside the gate path.

5.00My friend and I had a great experience with Tom. He was very knowledgeable about all the areas he took us to. He took us to places I wouldn’t have even thought about going. I left the tour feeling like I learned a lot. Would recommend.

5.00My partner and I did this tour with Remy today. He is SO knowledgeable, accommodating and passionate about history. This tour is perfectly curated for tourists who want to experience true Kyoto culture (and great cheap food!) on top of the classic touristy destinations. Remy knew the perfect spots to get photos inside Fushimi Inari (without being stuck in crowds at all!!) and the rest of the tour was at destinations outside of classic overpriced tourism spots (and therefore no crowds!!) but filled with the most incredible authentic Kyoto experiences and history, and beautiful social-media worthy scenic spots that we never would have discovered ourselves! 🥰 It is clear the amount of care and consideration that the Japan Tour Adventure team has put into this tour, forging relationships with local Kyoto historical sites owners and earning a well-deserved reputation as a kind, respectful tour agency that just wants to show the best parts of Kyoto to everyone ❤️ My partner and I cannot recommend Japan Tour Adventure (especially Remy) enough. 5.00Remi was amazing and not only did he give us a great tour of the Fushimi District but he was so helpful going above and beyond with helping us navigate our rail plans. We really enjoyed all the sake history and tastings and our lunch was incredible. Thank you so much for a memorable day.

5.00Aimu did an amazing job showing Kyoto, helping us understand the history and we had a informative tour of the market and a great lunch. She was engaging and answered all of our questions and was very helpful for our future activities. We could not of asked for a better guide. We highly recommend!
