We went on the tour with Deborah with a small group in the evening on our first day in Kyoto. The tour is very informative and Debroah has a very engaging way of talking and is clearly passionate about the Geisha (Geiko) culture and Kyoto. The two hours passed very fast in and we learned a lot of new facts and even if you are already tired I can only recommand to take the time and the tour it was a very memorable expierence.

We had the opportunity to learn from Deborah about the Maiko and Geiko culture and history. It’s was a very enjoyable and informative tour. There are so many misconceptions around geishas, and Deborah did an excellent job at pointing them out and readjusting our perceptions. If you’re here in Kyoto for the cultural part of Japan it’s genuinely a must to take 2 hours and go on a tour with Deborah

Deborah has been amazing in explaining and walking us through the Gion district and dispelling some misconception about Geisha and explaining their actual profession. Big thanks to her, and organiser, for being willing staying behind a bit when I was running late to the meeting point.
