This tour covers all those important sites and famous cities around Issyk-Kul lake.
Along the road to the lake, we will first visit the Burana Tower, which marks the original site of the Karakhanid town, Balasagun. Located along the important branch of the Silk Road, it is now UNESCO World heritage.
Later we will visit a city of the north shore – Cholpon-Ata, where the World Nomad Games are held. There you will also find an open-air museum of petroglyphs, Issyk-Kul State Historical and Cultural Museum.
In Karakol, you will find The Russian Orthodox Cathedral and Dungan Mosque. Karakol is also a famous hiking and skiing base. Then we will travel to Jety Oguz gorge, Barskoon gorge and Fairy Tale Canyon.
There are many other local attractions around Issyk-Kul Lake (for example, hotsprings, eagle hunting observation, traditional handcrafted workshop, visiting traditional Dungan village, etc.). Each group can specify its requirement.

Burana Tower and Konorchek Canyon
Burana Tower (about 80km from Bishkek) is located along the important branch of the Silk Road, in which it marks the original site of the Karakhanid town. It is a UNESCO World heritage site. Surrounding the tower, you can also find ruins of Balasagun. The tower was originally 45m high, however over centuries, a number of earthquakes damaged the structure of the tower, and it now remains 25m high.
Hippodrome Cholpon-Ata
Cholpon-Ata, a city located along the north shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, is where the World Nomad Games (also known as “Olympics for Nomads”) are held. There you will also find an open-air museum of petroglyphs, Issyk-Kul State Historical and Cultural Museum, as well as sandy beaches and springs (depending on how long we will stay in every site)

Karakol Gorge
We will visit The Russian Orthodox Cathedral and Dungan Mosque at Karakol After lunch, we will go to the beautiful mountain site at Karakol. And we can arrange trekking with various levels (from 2 hours to half day), depending on the physical condition of tourist group. In case the tourist group has other preferences, we can arrange other activities (e.g., visiting traditional Dungan village or the interesting antique shop) instead of trekking

Jeti-Oguz Canyon (Seven Bulls Rocks)
Continue driving to the south shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, you will first see the marvelous Jety Oguz gorge (during summer, we will also visit the Bee farm nearby)
You will then have adventure at Barskoon gorge (with a beautiful waterfall) as well as Fairy Tale Canyon

5.00My husband and I joined this tour with a couple of friends , and we really had the most enjoyable time travelling around Issy-kul lake.New Way Service provided a very detailed and caring service to us all. The car we rode in was very comfortable and in spite the journey being pretty rough at times, my husband and I who sat at the back did not suffer at all.The food , accommodation and the narratives we had during this trip truly enhanced our experience of a wonderful , awe-inspiring appreciation of the marvellous landscape. We would certainly recommend anyone who wants to travel around Issy-Kul Lake to use the services provided by the New Way Service.

5.00A very relax and enjoyable trip, we can go to visit different travel spots and get to know more about the country more, in terms of culture, history, food etc. Our tour guide was very nice, she will introduce different kind of information to us and help us to translate so that we can communicate with local people. And the night time we stay at a hostel which is very warm because the owner will cook nice food for us and have a nice chat with us too. There are lots of different places to see, mountains, lake, vintage shop etc, lots to experience, great tour. Thanks~

5.00This is the first time we went to Kyrgyzstan, it is luckily to find this round tour. The price is reasonable and they provided professional guideline for planing the trip. The issyk lake is very beautiful and clean. When we swam in the lake, we could also see the tianshan mountains around us! Also the tour guide is so caring! When we went hiking, it may be a bit of difficult to us, but our tour guide helped us a lot. Also he shared a lot about Kyrgyzstan that i can learn more about the culture here. It is a wonderful trip that I will come back again!
