  We contacted Lava man without any complications using his phone number, and he was courteous from the start, taking care of everything. Starting with the pickup directly from the cruise terminal, we were driven to the beginning of the hiking trail in a clean and comfortable car. Upon arrival, we received snacks, fresh fruit, and water to energize us for the journey ahead. He stayed close during the hike, ensuring our safety as he guided us uphill. Additionally, we learned interesting information about the flora and fauna along the way. He is a genuinely nice person, and we shared many laughs. We highly recommend this adventure to everyone. The hike is not for beginners, but with Lava man, you'll make it to the top with 100% confidence. Thank you, Lava man, for everything, and we hope to see you again someday.

  Most unprofessional service we ever got. I just happen to stumble on this page cuz me and the family are visiting Svg again. The vehicle this guy transported us in smells like athletes foot and wet dog and to make matters worst he left us behind on a trail we were not familiar with. 0/10

  I have gone to the volcano many times but this experience with Desron(Lavaman)was by far the best. Hiking a volcano can be very scary especially an active volcano that erupted recently but start to finish Desron made me feel very safe and comfortable there was no doubt in my mind at all. We took about 2 hrs to hike up and it was at my pace all the time he is very patient and that I like because I’m not an expert in hiking every step of the way he made sure I was feeling okay and that I was good.As we got to the top it was a bit foggy but as we entered into the crater it cleared a little and the views were amazing. I can say I got the full experience with Desron(Lavaman) the mud baths was one of my favourites and even seeing where the eruption in 2021 occurred was mind blowing. This experience made it clear to me that he has genuine love and respect for nature and for what he does.   THIS TOUR IS AVAILABLE. Although TripAdvisor said it was unavailable, we contacted Lavaman directly at 1 784 454 5999 to schedule our tour. You can also email him at [email protected]. I concur with all the other reviews. It was an amazing experience that my husband and I will remember throughout our lifetime.

  If you’re looking for the perfect person to take you up Soufriere your search is over! Lavaman is absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable and friendly. He picked us up from our hotel at 6am, to ensure we got there with enough time to hike and before any other tours. He provided a delicious, healthy breakfast (a local lunch was also included) and off we went. The hike up took just less than 2hours, and it was great listening to all of his stories. When we arrived at the top, the visibility was poor so he took us around to the other side, and actually into the crater. What an experience this was! No other guide on the island is experienced enough to do this. In fact, most other guides are just taxi drivers who want to make an extra buck. My advice: ignore these guys and go with Paradise and Lavaman, you won’t regret it!

  Amaizing tour! Strongly recommend doing the tour with Lavaman. Most groups don't go down to the crater, but he takes us there to see very close the power of the volcano. The first hour of hike was difficult for me, a lot of steps and some were really high, but he was patient and waited for me to catch my breath. As we you get closer to the volcano you start feeling highly motivated to finish the track. Is not an easy hike but worth a lot! The way back is easier and you can admire the surroundings.

  This experience was everything I dreamed of and more . LavaMan was exceptionally experienced and took everything into consideration that was needed for the volcano climb . LavaMan is a very knowledgable and informative guy . The whole day was a real treat and I want to thank LavaMan hugely for an epic day !! The views were lush and beautiful .   Exceptional experience with the hike! Our guide was informative, friendly and patient when the climb got difficult! We shared stories and snacks while pushing our limits to see the beauty of nature at the top. So happy I completed the journey and I’ll never forget my time.

  Overall, Lava man deserves 20 stars ⭐️. Our group of 8 had various levels of mental and physical strength with me being the weakest 😂. Lava man made sure he with the strong and weak to accomplish our climb. I can’t express how impress we was with his knowledge, strength, endurance, and overall kindness to us.   Lava Man is THE best guide for this volcano hike. He's got a very relaxed character and has a huge amount of knowledge of the volcano. He made us feel very at ease. Make sure you check the weather and visibility with him beforehand.
