The hike starts from 387 meters (1200 ft )to 965 meters (3196 ft ) It can be cold at the top at times especially on a cloudy, windy, rainy day so I recommend you take along a windbreaker or rain jacket also a change of clothes for when you finish is a good idea because you will either be wet from sweat or rain
Please note: there's an entrance fee every guest have to pay (entrance fee only payable at the trailhead office) (located at the trailhead)
This is a shared tour and we require a minimum of 4 persons for the Tour. If you're solo or couple, please reach out to us...to see if you can join forces with other solo travellers or couples, and what would be the2 scedule time for the shared tour...and we can check then get back to you . We typically only pick up guests from Kingstown and surrounding areas for the La Soufriere Volcano tour (Windward Trail). Pickup at Sandals St. Vincent and the Grenadines would be outside our standard range, and would likely incur an additional fee.

La.Soufriere is a stratovolcano located on the northern side of St.Vincent. It is approximately 4048ft/1234m above sea level, with a crater approximately 500m wide and 60m deep. Which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding land and seascape. it give you wide diversity and a close encounter of flora and fauna. La soufriere volcano erupted in 1718,1812,1902,1987 and also on the 9th of April 2021. This hike is suitable for any average hiker, it's accessible from both the north eastern side(Windward) and the north western(Leeward) side of the island. hiking from the windward side...this tour takes an hour from the capital(Kingstown) along the picturesque eastern coast, through agriculture farms on your way to Bamboo range (Where you have access to facilities such as Parking, Washrooms and Gazebos). Starting from bamboo range it's a 4km hike to the summit and 4km hike back, which takes an average hiker 2 hours to hike up and 2 hours back down

5.00It was a privilege to climb Soufriere volcano with the famous Lava Man, he is both kind and professional. We were a group of three....being an older lady I found it challenging and went quite slowly. Lava Man was patient and considerate and never made me feel uneasy for being slow. Lava Man gave us lots of time at the crater for a rest, photos and eating snacks. This was our highlight in St Vincent...such a fabulous experience and Lava Man is a fantastic human being❤️

5.00Great island tour by AC van before and after the hike. The path was very well maintained and our guide pointed out many things along the way. The hike was as expected, approx 4 hours total and the crater views were spectacular.

5.00I'm over 50 and was not ready for this hike. My husband encouraged and pushed me all the way through. Our guide, Lavaman, was professional and informative. He was patient with me as it took forever for me to go up and down. The views and experience were spectacular. My husband and son loved the adventure. I would recommend this hike for someone more fit than me.
Not safe, and very mentally unstable guide

1.00First in the morning the guide that calls himself lavaman wanted to put 9 people in an eight person minivan. I objected and said it was not safe as there were also kids going on yhe tour and he became aggressive. I was calm and said he should book another taxi which he did. He went alone in this other taxi leaving his guests in the first taxi. He talked to himself loudly like a mentally unstable person. The hike went fine but he did not say a word to anyone and did not wait for slower participants unless he was told to. After the hike he wanted more money in cash for an unspecified tax? We all refused topay as it was stated everything was included. He snapped and talked loudly to himself and screamed at me and random people. This person should get help and not be able to tun tours until he is stable.

5.00We contacted Lava man without any complications using his phone number, and he was courteous from the start, taking care of everything. Starting with the pickup directly from the cruise terminal, we were driven to the beginning of the hiking trail in a clean and comfortable car. Upon arrival, we received snacks, fresh fruit, and water to energize us for the journey ahead. He stayed close during the hike, ensuring our safety as he guided us uphill. Additionally, we learned interesting information about the flora and fauna along the way. He is a genuinely nice person, and we shared many laughs. We highly recommend this adventure to everyone. The hike is not for beginners, but with Lava man, you'll make it to the top with 100% confidence. Thank you, Lava man, for everything, and we hope to see you again someday.

1.00Most unprofessional service we ever got. I just happen to stumble on this page cuz me and the family are visiting Svg again. The vehicle this guy transported us in smells like athletes foot and wet dog and to make matters worst he left us behind on a trail we were not familiar with. 0/10
