Ponta da Piedade Lighthouse
The cliffs of the Ponta da Piedade headland is one of the finest natural beauties of the Algarve. This dramatic sandstone coastline is formed of sea pillars, fragile rock arches and hidden grottos, all of which have been chiselled-out by savage winter storms. The headland can only be described as stunning.

5.00Pedro was an amazing ambassador of Portugal. He was knowledgeable, professional and engaging throughout. Transportation was comfortable and thoughtfully staged throughout the day. We saw all of the advertised locations and so much more! Lunch was delicious, costal vistas beautiful! It was a wonderful day from beginning to end! Highly recommend!

5.00My husband and I were thrilled with Pedro of VTours as our guide. His knowledge of Lagos, Sagres, and Cape St. Vincent was truly exceptional. From the dramatic beach rock formations in Lagos to Sagres then to wind swept Cape St. Vincent ("the end of the world") were all breath taking. He made an excellent recommendations, including a lunch stop at a rooftop restaurant with sweeping ocean views and great food. Ending the day with a stop at a well known bakery in old town Lagos. We loved every minute!

5.00We had a great tour of Lagos, Sagres and St.Vincent with our guide Pedro. He is so passionate about Portugal and the Algarve that you feel you must come back and see more. We had a full day tour starting at 9:30 am and returned back to hour hotel around 6:30 pm. The experience was incredible. Pedro is an experienced tour host, who is also gracious and humble . He took us around in his BMW station wagon which was so clean. He provided us with water and recommendations for lunch. We would definitely book again with Pedro!🇨🇦

From the moment we met him, his warmth, energy, and passion for the region set the tone for an unforgettable day. Pedro has an incredible way of blending history, culture, and local stories with humor and genuine enthusiasm. He didn’t just show us the sights – he brought them to life. From the stunning cliffs of Lagos to the dramatic “end of the world” views at Sagres, every stop was filled with fascinating insights and hidden details we would have never discovered on our own. What stood out most was how personal the experience felt. Pedro made sure everyone in the group was comfortable and engaged, tailoring the pace and information to match our interests. He also had fantastic recommendations for local food and hidden gems that gave us a true taste of the Algarve. By the end of the day, it felt less like a tour and more like an adventure with a friend who deeply loves his home. 5.00We were fortunate to take a trip to Italy in 2023, and now Spain and Portugal in 2025. We’ve learned that guided tours (private, if possible) are worth the additional expense but it does come with a risk… will the guide meet your expectations? Pedro is first class. A gem. We will always remember our trip through the Algarve with Pedro in the same vein as our trip with the Tuscan Wanderer (Giovanni) through Tuscany. Pedro was the first star among our guides in Portugal and Spain. He was wonderful to talk with, and learn from, and he also shared his creative ideas for top notch photos. He dotted the day with expert insight, and we shared many good laughs. I said to my wife afterwards, we were so fortunate as a family to be in the company of a professional who wakes up each day embracing the bounty of new things to be learned, and with the enthusiasm for each tour adventure as though it was the first time. Thank you, Pedro!

5.00My cousin Gail and I had a full day tour with Pedro. From the outset he was helpful and informative. Our tour of the Algarve was in a very comfortable BMW, with Pedro taking us to Camilo beach, Ponte de Piedade, lunch in Sagres, Baleeira fishing port Sagres, Cabo de Sao Vicente / Cape St Vincent (end of the world) concluding with Lagos old town. Magnificent sights and experiences, we are grateful to Pedro for such a wonderful day. Highly recommend Pedro and Vtours.

5.00What a delightful guy! Pedro gave us a most memorable, informative and enjoyable experience exploring the Algarve. He took us to the most stunning locations. Pedro was professional, friendly, considerate and caring which we really appreciated. Bearing in mind we are in our late 70s we couldn’t have wishes for a better tour guide. He was very personable and fun to be with and we can highly recommend taking a trip with him.
