Santiago Atitlan, the town more visited for their beautiful Guipil (blouse) and its old catholic church with Mayan and Spanish culture combination. To finalize the last town to visit is
San Juan la Laguna, a unique town with cooperatives of natural dyes, painting's art and medicinal plants.

The duration of transfers are approximate, the exact duration will depend on the time of day and traffic conditions
IMPORTANT: If do the weather conditions there is no access to any of the towns listed in the tour, we will suggest you other town options to visit and keep the three towns in your tour
Return time to Antigua around 18:30-19:00hrs. All will depend on traffic and the group.
If you want to enjoy more time the lake and want to spend a night there, we can gladly coordinate the transportation back to Antigua next day without extra cost. PLEASE let us know when you book that you need to return next day. You can choose the shared transportation leaving from Panajachel at 12:00pm or 16hrs. - ACCOMMODATION IS ON YOUR OWN. -
The duration of the tour is approximately 14hrs, this tour is ideal if you don't have much time to visit the country.

Panajachel
Here is where the tour starts. At your arrival you will have around 45mins to have breakfast (Not included). After that, you walk to the dock to take the boat. Panajachel, also known as "Pana", is a charming city located on the shore of Lake Atitlan. Is the most important center of the area, reason why it concentrates the majority of hotels, restaurants, nightlife, entertainment centers and shops. Ideal for shopping for handicrafts and contributing to local tourism.
San Juan la Laguna
First town to visit. San Juan la Laguna, a quaint town onf the west shore of the lake, there are serveral cooperatives: from beekeepers, coffee growers to backstrap loom weavers, who work using natural dyes. Using ancestral techniques, they extract dyes from tree bark, vegetables, coconut shells and so on to paint of colors their products.

5.00This was a great experience. I see why some gave it less than 5 stars. But here’s my breakdown. They picked me up from my Hotel. It was pretty cold that morning and they didn’t have heat on during the 2hr drive. They even had the windows down at one point but it wasn’t the end of the world. The breakfast spot was good enough to fill me up but very simple. The boat ride was fun. You get to see different parts of Lake Atitlan but you are obligated to attend cocoa, honey and other demonstrations. They do allow time to roam around on your own afterwards. They recommend a spot for lunch, it was pretty good. And we were also welcomed to try other spots. I decided to stick with this couple I had met on the trip. I have to say, the drivers on the way there were very courteous with a young lady who was sick. She kept needing to relieve herself and they stopped right away a few times on the side of the road to take care of her. No one on the shuttle complained because we were understanding of her situation. I recommend you book this trip. They take great care of you and it’s better to have someone take care of all the details so you can relax, meet other people and enjoy your vacation

1.00Lake Atitlan is beautiful with the surrounding volcanoes. Pick up was 5.30 to 5.50, if not arrived by then there was a number to message. Response at 6.00 was office not open until 9am!! Why bother. Breakfast was fine that was included. The boats on the lake are poor, they go very fast even if the water is choppy. The result is a ride so bumpy that it left me with severe backache, eventhough I was asking for the crew to slow down they seemed uncaring and continued. This left me concerned about the final half hour journey back to the starting point. I sat at the rear on lifevests to reduce the continual impact. MY ADVICE IS TO CONSIDER CAREFULLY IF YOU HAVE A BACK PROBLEM BEFORE BOOKING. There is a lot of wasted time at Santiago Atitlan in my opinion, the the rest of the tour was fine. We arrived back in Antigua 14.5 hrs after the start time. It's a long day. If I came here again I would probably visit Atitlan but not go on the boats. The staff driving there and the assistant were incommunicative other than checking whether there were the right number of passengers. I thought they could at least welcome us and explain what the day would encompass, but no.

5.00Booked it last minute and it was amazing. Thank god it was a small group because it mostly a large group. We loved it because we were able to connect and truly enjoy the trip. The tour guide Lena was amazing!

5.00The coordination was seamless. This tour is very well planned. They pick you up at your hotel, breakfast is delicious, transportation between towns is smooth, and activities throughout the day are amazing. I appreciate the customer service from the driver, to the restaurant servers, the tour guide, and of course, the people who gave us a presentation: Milton - Cacoa info session. Honey bee presentation and the textile presentation. Azucena, our tour guide, was incredible! There was a lot to see and do. Very fun! I look forward to visiting the towns and the shops again in the future.
