A great way to do Lake Dunstan cycle track

5.00Excellent day out. Quality, well-serviced e-bikes - we have hired from several different suppliers and these were definitely the best. The boat ride up the lake was really interesting, comfortable and gave a great understanding of the history and landforms as well as a good overview of the bike track. The track is mostly well formed and delivers excellent views up and down the lake with places to stop, toilets and even a floating coffee cafe. There are a few hairy moments of narrow, rough track on blind bends with big drop offs and two way traffic - so best for confident riders. You can go either way but Clyde to Cromwell means you are on the inside round those hairy bends! Great lunch and wine tasting at Carrick - more than even hungry riders could manage. Easy drop off at the end and e-bike battery lasted really well, so all up, a great day out.
