We will start this tour by picking you up at the lobby of your hotel on the Island of Flores or Santa Elena in Peten. Our professional tourist guide will be ready to take you to one of the most fascinating lake tours, viewpoints, and beaches in Peten. Our first stop is Lake Peten Itza until we arrive at a beautiful viewpoint. To get to El Rey Canek Viewpoint, we will need to take a quick boat ride from the Island of Flores. Get ready to learn about a Mayan civilization that lived in that area and appreciate the stunning landscapes that can be seen at the top of it.

Once we get to the other side, we will start an easy 10 minutes hike to get to the viewpoint of El Mirador del Rey Canek. You can see Flores Island, Lake Peten Itza, and even the Mundo Maya International Airport from it. Something that not many people know, is that the viewpoint is actually the top of a pyramid built by the ancient Mayan King called Canek. It is now covered in vegetation and used as a viewpoint. During your visit, we will also tell you about the kingdom of El Rey Canek and the stelae that have been found there recently. Viewing the landscapes from the highest point is breathtaking.
