The tour will pass by the authentic narrow streets and corners of Lamu. You will be able to enjoy the Lamu sea front, the wood carvings of different doors, plenty of houses made with corals.

Lamu Old Town
Will meet you at your meeting point to take you around Lamu old town, where you will get a chance of seeing the Lamu Museum, Lamu Fort, Lamu market, wood carving shops, silver smith shops, German post office, Swahili house museum with unique architecture, Lamu market, and of course the Donkey sanctuary. Also you will be getting a chance to enjoy the traditional swahili music, Lamu sea front, and many lovely streets with coral and wood carvings.
Lamu Museum
You will have the chance to see the Museum which serves to colonies the first being the Oman King and at that time it was a palace for the King, then after during the time of British when British took over it was then used as their headquarter that is Imperial British East African Company and later it was converted to be a Museum. Outside of the Museum are canons which were used to bomb the Sultanet at Witu.

5.00Kassim was an absolute gem during my Lamu Town tour! From the moment we met, he was so kind and thoughtful, taking the time to personally guide me through the museum and around town, pointing out every detail and sharing stories with warmth and passion. He knows the island so well and clearly has the love and respect of everyone around him. I felt completely comfortable and truly cared for the whole time. Kassim is genuine, generous and the best tour guide in Lamu! It has been a 11/10 experience :)

5.00Absolutely loved this tour of Lamu Old Town, honestly a 10/10 experience. Kassim was an exceptional guide from start to finish. He didn’t just walk us through the town, he really took the time to understand what we were interested in and shaped the tour around that. That personal touch made a huge difference and made the whole experience feel unique rather than generic. His knowledge of Lamu’s history, culture, and hidden corners was impressive, and he shared everything in a way that was engaging and easy to follow. On top of that, he was incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive throughout. You can tell he genuinely cares about what he does and wants people to leave with a real appreciation for the place. If you’re visiting Lamu Old Town, I can’t recommend doing a tour with Kassim enough. He truly made the experience unforgettable.

5.00Kassim was an absolutely wonderful guide during our trip to Lamu Island. He made everything so easy to understand and shared the beauty and history of the place in such a warm and engaging way. We also came back the second day from Manda Island and called Kassim up to hangout and give us a street food tour - that’s how much we enjoyed his company We always felt safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. Truly a kind and genuine person—highly recommended!

5.00We heard about Kassim through friends and let me tell you.. we have traveled the whole world but have never met a tour guide that LOVES what he does as much as Kassim. He made us fall in love with Lamu, he explained everything about Lamu the history of Lamu and the Swahili culture. Even the next day we just called Kassim to hangout with him and do a street food tour which he didn’t even asked to be paid for it. If you are thinking of going to Lamu and need a tour guide DONT look for anyone else. A true champion of history and a true gentleman.

5.00I would give Kassim 6 stars if I could; his impeccable reputation is well earned. He’s extremely knowledgeable, fun, kind and communicative. It was a joy to see how well-liked and respected he is by the broader community. Our tour with him was one of the absolute highlights of our Kenya trip.

5.00Kassim made the tour really enjoyable, his patience and knowledge made it very comfortable for me as a solo traveler, and he also takes amazing pictures. Also if you need anything or want to find out about any particular thing, he will definitely try to help you! He also has suggestions for so many things to do here in Lamu, which I really didn’t know there could be so many things to do. Highly recommended on your visit to Lamu!

5.00Kassim was an amazing guide. He was very knowledgeable on the history, and also very patient and flexible by adding things in the tour not initially planned. The old town tour was one of my favourite, but I also did the sunset dhouw cruise and the dune hike. One of my best solo holidays. Incredible guide, wonderful person. I 💯 recommend his services. He has very fair rates and you leave feeling you got more than you paid for. Amazing experience

5.00Kassim tour was simply the best. He showed us around town, telling us the history of the place. He went above and beyond, customizing the tour to our liking , stopping in places (outside of the normal tour) we were curious about. We had the best coffee and he takes the best pictures. Would recommend taking the tour with him.

5.00Wonderful Lamu Old Town Tour & Dhow sunset sail! Lamu Old Town tour was really interesting and a great way to learn about the history and culture of the island. The dhow sunset sail was beautiful and relaxing – highly recommended if you’re visiting Lamu.

5.00Kassim was a very nice and engaged guide. We had a lovely walking tour where he explained the historical and cultural sugnificance of Lamu and showed us around some nice cafes and galleries. Additionally, we did the sunset dhow ride with him which was amazing!
