Landmannalaugar in Iceland is an absolute unique place
Landmannalaugar in Iceland is a magnificent place. Lava field surrounded by mountains of colorful Rhyolite and one of the most popular places for hiking.
Landmannalaugar actually means “Land mans pool”, because of the natural geothermal pools in the area.
In the past, it was a welcome place for travellers who had traveled the country on horseback or on foot, to stop and bathe.
So do not forget to bring your swim suit and a towel with you on the trip!
This is a Super Jeep tour to Landmannalaugar in Iceland with an optional easy/moderate two hours hike.

We will make a stop at a top of a hill where there is a view over a valley covered with volcanic ash from the historical volcano Hekla. A place where you really feel like you’ve been stranded on the moon.
Landmannalaugar
Here we do a hike and bathe in a natural hot spring. Welcome to Landmannalaugar in Iceland. We will stop here for couple of hours. The guide will offer you a hike up to Brennisteinsalda or the Sulfur Wave. During the hike your are surrounded by nature so peculiar that you would hardly be surprised if you saw an elf running by. The colorful rhyolite mountains and some small hot springs scattered all over close to Brennisteinsalda with a mystical steam rising up from them. When returning to the huts, after about two hours of hiking, there still is enough time to take a bath in the natural pool.

5.00Wonderful trip to the highlands, hiking through the lava field with geothermal activity, and breathtaking valley of tears. Our tour guide,”Eddie”, is very knowledgeable and funny. We enjoyed every minute of it.
This is a must do epic bucket list Iceland activity!

5.00This tour was absolutely one of the best days of our lives. We came to Iceland for adventure turning 50 and that’s exactly what we got. Our customized private tour had spectacular views and weather and we did everything we wanted and more hiking to the top of Mt Blahnukur and lava fields, a dip in the hot spring, and a visit to the crater, valley of tears, and a waterfall. Most importantly, our guide Peter truly enhanced our tour in every way. He was an amazing tour guide who was informative, fun, funny, safe, personable, and catered to all our needs including taking so many photos for us. It was incredible! I could not recommend it higher

5.00Peter was fabulous! We celebrated our 50th with a trip to Iceland and a private full day trip starting in Reykjavík with a pick up at our hotel and then headed to Lanmannalaugar to climb the blue mountain, soak in the hot spring, and stop at a variety of other hot spots. Peter was a great guide who was there to guide, to take pictures, to give interesting facts- five stars!

5.00The trip included several stops at iconic stops in and around the beautiful, colorful and majestic Highlands of Iceland. As well, we had two perfect hikes as part of our day that were spectacular. Our guide, Kalyan Racz was outstanding in every way - informative, energetic, really nice and humorous. He was as much a part of my enjoyment of the day as our surroundings were. I recommend the tour company and Kalman very highly.

5.00We had a great time with our guide Einar. He was very knowledgeable and showed us the magnificent beauty of the Landmannalaugar Highlands. Being a native Icelander, he was able to show us a few hidden gems that will take your breath away! I decided not to post those pictures to let you discover them for yourself. Don’t forget to pack your swimsuit and take the option of a dip in the natural spring at the end of your hike

5.00Great tour and a fantastic guide (Einar Þór Samúelsson) was very knowledgeable and helpful, I highly recommend you check it out. Not only did we visit the areas advertised but we were also taken to some secret places very few have probably been. I would consider taking this tour again

5.00It’s hard to put into words how breathtaking this experience was. First of all our guide Peter was first rate and exceptional on all counts. So we felt comfortable and looked after and well informed. The landscapes, waterfalls and off the beaten track places he took us were sensational. There is no overstating the unique beauty of Landmannalaugar. The small group experience absolutely made the trip as well. It was more intimate. We are tourists but felt less like tourists and more part of the landscape.

5.00The most incredible day with our tour guide Peter in the Icelandic Highlands. We had been in Iceland a week already exploring the south coast, but this tour was the highlight for me. Unbelievable mountain and volcanic scenery; a dip in a hot spring; and visits to beautiful hidden waterfalls. We struggled to find a Highlands tour that was running in October and almost abandoned the idea, but I’m so glad that we found this one. Peter was super knowledgeable and accommodating, and always made sure that the tour felt personalised. We never felt rushed when taking photos (and we took a lot!), and the semi-private nature of the tour, as well as the time of year, meant that we more or less had the Highlands to ourselves. An experience we’ll never forget and something that I would do again and again. Thank you Peter!

5.00WOW Landmannalaugar is the pearl of the highlands! There is no other place like this. Excellent tour: great stops and trails, high quality and very confortable super jeep and wonderful guide. Guide was very informative about the area and the whole Iceland, safety mindful and adjusted the pace and breaks to the group. This day summarizes many different landscapes you can find the icelandic highlands, a great super jeep adventure in untouched areas with even exciting river crossings. It was our third time in Iceland and this was one of the best days ever. We will never forget it. Thank you Glacier and Waterfalls

5.00I was told that Landmannalaugar was a place not to be missed. And Landmannalaugar not only lives to its fame but also exceded all the expectations i had. Positive points: the GUIDE, the breathtaking views from the top and from the lava field, the color contrast from the mountains and the streams and small waterfalls. The super jeep was amazingly confortable, modern and apropiated for the terrain. The guide took us to many interesting viewpoints, paced the walk with the right breaks, managed an exceptional group dynamic, was very attentive to the people with less fitness and added a lot of valuable information about the unique geology and history of the area. All in all we could have not asked for better. I highly recommend this tour. Thank you Pedro. Thank you Glaciers and Waterfalls
