  We have had an absolutely amazing experience in our trekking in Nepal, and much of it has been thanks to the team of guides. We want to make special mention of Edu and Santos, who have been exceptional throughout the route. Always attentive, professional and with a positive attitude that made every day easier and more pleasant. They conveyed a lot of confidence, took care of every detail and were watching the whole group at all times. In addition, the rest of the team, the cherpas (in total five) did an impeccable job. His knowledge of the mountains, the environment and the local culture made trekking much more enriching. Always willing to help, adapting to the pace of each person and making sure we were all well and enjoying the road. Thank you to the whole team for your closeness, professionalism and for making this experience in Nepal something we will remember all our lives. We would definitely repeat with them and recommend them 100% to anyone who wants to do a trek here. A team of 10!

  A memorable holiday, in large part due to the care and attention from Ram Barakoti and Sajana Tripathi of Hiking Adventure Treks. We spent a long time with them planning our trek as we needed to be confident that our dietary (kosher) requirements would be accommodated. They took advice from the Rabbi at Kathmandu Chabad, bought new pots, pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery for our trek, and took time to make sure that our guide understood what we needed. He, in turn, briefed and instructed the porters. The result was that the porters carried the extra cooking equipment as well as fruit that Sajana purchased for our trek; cooked all of our meals (all parev) under our supervision, with one of us lighting the gas; and washed everything separately. For Shabbat on the trek, food and kiddush wine from Chabad was sent up the mountain from Kathmandu to a nearby village and carried up by one of the porters. We also had food from Chabad for the evening meal at the end of the trek which the driver brought to Dhunche and for the following Shabbat we spent in Pokhara (sent by plane). As regards the trek itself, there are long uphill stretches to Kyanjin Gompa (up the Langtang valley) and to Gosainkunda (and long downhill stretches on the way back), which require patience and sensible pacing, rather than peak physical fitness. The views along the way are stunning when the sky is clear. The accommodation along the way varies from good (purpose built brick hotels with ensuite bathrooms) to really basic tea-houses. At the end of the holiday Ram and Sajana met with us to request feedback on the team and the trek. We were very impressed. Useful tips: * we spent too long in Kathmandu (4 days) * sleeping bags are essential both for warmth (it gets cold at night up the mountains) and hygiene (the hotels and tea-houses provide a duvet & pillow both of which seem to have had many users) * Nepal is a cash economy - credit cards were accepted in only a tiny number of places

  My friend and I visited Nepal for our first time in April. A friend recommended Hiking Adventure Treks and I’m so glad we followed the recommendation. Communication was excellent- Sajana was quick to respond to all of our questions. Our hotel in Thamel was perfect. Our guide Santu and our porter Sajun were fabulous. With Ram Barakoti as the CEO and Sajana Tripathi as the Managing Director, this company stands out as a reliable and exceptional choice for all trekking enthusiasts. I have had the pleasure of knowing Ram since 1998 and Sajana since 2016, and their expertise and commitment to creating unforgettable trekking experiences have left a lasting impression on me. Over the past 25 years, I have embarked on seven treks in Nepal, including Gosaikunda and Helambu, Lower Mustang, Annapurna Circuit, EBC 3 Passes (twice in 2012 and 2016), Kanchenjunga, and the Langtang/Gosaikunda/Helambu trek with my grandson last year. The fact that I have chosen to undertake the majority of these treks with the kind assistance of Ram and Sajana speaks volumes about their exceptional services. We have also developed a deep friendship over the years. Firstly, the company provides experienced and responsible drivers who prioritize safety and ensure trekkers reach the starting point of their adventure without any complications. Given the challenging terrains and unpredictable weather conditions in Nepal, having an experienced driver is crucial. Secondly, the porters and guides from "Hiking Adventure Treks" are not only kind and caring but also possess extensive knowledge of the regions they operate in. Their familiarity with the trails and previous experience allows trekkers to feel confident and secure throughout the journey. Lastly, "Hiking Adventure Treks" demonstrates exceptional proficiency in handling unexpected situations. I encountered two such instances during my treks. In 2012, when all flights to Lukla were canceled due to adverse weather conditions, Ram's knowledge and connections came into play. Through his efforts, he managed to secure a place for us on a helicopter, allowing us to reach “Surke” near Lukla on the same day. Similarly, during the Langtang/Gosaikunda/Helambu trek in 2022, heavy rainfall made the trail treacherous, prompting us to discontinue the trek. Despite it being the Dashain Holiday, Ram and Sajana tirelessly arranged for a jeep to pick us up from Kutumsang. After driving for nine hours, the jeep arrived at Kutumsang at 21:00, ensuring our safety and comfort. Considering these three crucial factors, I wholeheartedly recommend "Hiking Adventure Treks" to anyone seeking an unforgettable trekking experience in Nepal.   We hiked Langtang vally up to Kyanjin and back through Thulo Sybru to the frozen lakes with a guide and porter that the company organized for us. Everything was organised very well and we learned a lot about the history and geography of the area.   Great company. We were accompanied by both Kathmandu and Trek to Langtang. Professional company, kind and pleasant saw. We were a group of four blind people and several escorts and they showed sensitivity and patience above and beyond. We highly recommend.
