Lydia was absolutely fantastic. She is very personable plus she is a licensed guide so knows a lot about the area. She was very supportive of making it easier since one of us has some ability issues. She suggested upgrades as needed. After the tour of the Buddha, she took us to a wonderful fishing village for a ride on a boat to see dolphins and then have a nice local lunch. I wish we had met her the day before and had two days with her instead of just one. Kent

Genev shared with us iconic sights and managed to give them a local feel and presentation. She expedited everything we needed to do , going out of her way to make sure we were engaged, enjoying, and safe.

We were so happy with our day in Lantau Island and our capable and informative guide,Alfred. With his knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment, we got to experience everything we could have hoped for on our all day excursion. His suggestions led to a better day than we could have imagined. After meeting us at our hotel, we had a bus ride and two ferry rides to get to Lantau Island with lots of information from Alfred on the way! We were excited to get to Tai O traditional fishing village, to see its connected houses built on stilts, to see so many new and different dried fish products, to visit some temples and to be lucky enough to see the Pink dolphins on a boat ride before lunch. We had lunch at the historical Tai O Historical Hotel with its great food and great views. We then took a taxi to save time and get to the site of the Great Buddha which is 112 feet tall. It is a magnificent structure and the surrounding six bronze goddesses and views from the surrounding walkway up top are worth climbing the 268 steps. We took time to walk the Wisdom Path and see the wooden columns with their engravings. Then it was on to the Ngong Ping 360 for one of the most amazing cable car rides ever. 25 minutes of beautiful vistas of the mountains, the relocated airport, and the Macao bridge. We were able to access the subway after finishing our cable car ride and return to our hotel. Through all the day’s activities, Alfred gave us lots of information and a great day. His commitment to making the most of our time meant we were able to see so much more than we anticipated!
