Enjoy a 2-hour surf lesson at Broadbeach on the Gold Coast. Choose one of Australia's favorite surf schools who has been teaching people to surf since 1987. You'll be provided with a long sleeve rash shirt in summer and wet suits in winter with a soft beginner surfboard and 2-hours of instruction and fun.

Go Ride a Wave offers 2hour surf lessons every day at Broadbeach at 10am and 2pm. Most of all, we provide a safe, fun, exciting experience that everyone can enjoy. The lessons include the use of a long sleeve rash shirt or wetsuit, a soft beginner surf board and 2 hours of instruction and fun. We meet at our van in the car park beside the Kurrawa Surf Saving Club. There are toilets and also showers nearby so you can wash off the salt and sand after the surf lesson. We can also arrange photos to prove that you were able to stand up, if you would like us to.

5.00Friendly reminder call from Cal before the lesson and he put everyone at ease whilst also explaining how we would stay safe out in the water which was a bit choppy. Managed to get up on board a few times and had a lot of fun though quite exhausted and slept well!

5.00Had a great time with the instructors. Clear explanations and enough support on the water. I was able to stand from the get go. I felt like the instructors took good care of the group and were keen to answer any questions or help you out a bit more if you needed. Also great for anyone who has some experience and just wants the reassurance of having someone more knowledgeable around.

5.00This was a great experience. The family really enjoyed learning to surf. The instructors were very knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. We ran overtime but they were not phased and just kept going so we could get the most out of it! Definitely be recommended and good value.

5.00I booked a surf lesson for myself and my 2 boys aged 10 and 12. The instructors were great showing us the basics. We didnt spend ,too long practising on the sand but enough to give you the knowledge you needed to surf. The majority of the lesson was hands on in the sea and the instructors were there to help make it more fun and to give some pointers on your technique. The aim was to to take you from a complete novice to being able to stand up by the end of the lesson. Whilst I didnt acheive anything worthy of being on TV or a surfing advert I did manage to stand up and surf......I had no choice after my boys cracked it in a nano second 😐 It was very safe and fun if you have young ones wanting to give it a go. All in all, we had a great afternoon! The instructors told us go ride a wave also rent out boards from their shop at surfers paradise so while we are on the Gold Coast we will definately hire a board and have another go at surfing. 🏄♂️ Thanks for a great surf lesson!!
