This experience is like stepping into the shoes of a discerning, Left Bank foodie who’s shopping for a special dinner party. From the Pantheon to Pont Neuf, we visit six renowned artisans (3 of them MOF: Meilleur Ouvrier de France), tasting the way through the magical Latin Quarter and Saint Germain des Près, while learning the stories behind every bite. The tour culminates with a private tasting, inside a historic two-masted péniche/riverboat, of cold champagne and all the products we’ve collected along the way.
This tour begins with introductions and a fresh croissant, named the best in Paris, at the breathtaking Place Sainte-Geneviève. As we stroll the historic streets, we will taste charcuterie from an artisanal butcher, a variety of cheeses from a nationally recognized fromager, chocolates from a renowned and eccentric chocolatier, macarons and pastries from a life-long pastry chef, and rare champagne from independent producers.

The tour was incredibly interesting, full of little surprises, and the format is really unique ! the tour just flew by in one breath I loved every minute of it and can’t recommend it enough!!

5.00This tour was a very special experience. Max is a great host who captivates with knowledge and wit. We visited hidden gems that you can hardly find as a normal tourist and Max had a lot of background information about all these places. The food was great. The crowning achievement was, of course, the visit to the boat in a prime location on the Seine. All in all, it was an extraordinary experience that I would recommend to anyone with an affinity for food and Paris. P.S. You should definitely be able to speak and understand English very well, even if Max speaks fluent German in addition to English and French.

5.00Could not recommend this tour more! Max showed us a magical, quaint side of Paris that I had previously been unable to tap into on my own on past trips to Paris. The food shopping we did felt special to me, but also seemed to capture what a sophisticated Parisian might do on a weekly basis or for a special gathering. Not only was there a great atmosphere and delicious food (and champagne!!), but our guide Max was very enthusiastic, without being overbearing, and extremely knowledgeable. I learned about "the five families of cheeses" which was explained in a compelling (and very funny) way, which is the type of thing that has helped me navigate subsequent purchases at Paris cheese shops, where the choices would otherwise be overwhelming. Capping it all off was a truly jaw dropping last stop at a private riverboat in the heart of Paris. The place had such a cool vibe and was a cosy and intimate backdrop for some really awesome conversations with interesting people who were on the tour with us. The tour was definitely a splurge, but one that I am happy to say felt well worth it.
