  The people at the gate were super friendly and helpful. In any situation, going in, with the need of going out and re enter or with helping with a lost item. Even the cleaning crew was sweet and helpful in helping retrieving a misplaced bag. The line were quick and it wasn't overcrowded. Lots of things to do for younger kids while they wait for rides.

  It has a pretty good atmosphere, and good jungle gyms for the kids, and great Lego stations for the kids to get creative and build and race cars and boats. The rides were lacking a bit, my 5 year old even wanted more intense rides, but they did really enjoy a handful of the rides available.

  It was our first time at LEGOLAND and we had an amazing experience with my 3 year old and 1 year old. It’s located in beautiful Carlsbad, where the weather is typically cooler than other theme park cities. The walk from parking to the entrance was less than a 5 min walk. Parking in general was also a lot faster. It’s not as busy as other theme park. There are so many areas for little kids to play and get their energy out. It’s spacious and reasonably priced. The staff also seemed happy and more friendly.

  Our LEGOLAND VIP Tour was absolutely the best experience and worth every penny. The entire day was hassle-free, smooth, and incredibly productive, allowing us to enjoy so many amazing experiences we’ll never forget. Getting behind-the-scenes access to see both old and new builds in the model shop was unforgettable—especially while talking with a master builder and learning about the creativity and craftsmanship that goes into every detail. The LEGO factory tour was also amazing and fascinating to see in action. Most of all, our guide, Brian, made this experience truly special. His kindness, knowledge, and attention to detail elevated the entire day, especially for my child. Another team member, Renate, went above and beyond to make the factory tour extra special, and it meant the world to us. My child hasn’t stopped talking about it and can’t wait to see Brian and Renate again! This VIP tour exceeded all expectations and created memories our family will treasure forever. Highly, highly recommend!

• Better than Disneyland for kids

  This is such an amazing park for younger kids. Everything is interactive. They can run, climb, and play everywhere. Even lines have areas for play which is a godsend. The cost was totally reasonable and I can’t wait to come back. We went to Disneyland the next day and the whole time my son asked when we got to go back to Lego land.

  We had a great day at LEGOLAND California Resort. We also had a great VIP tour with Renate who showed us the real behind the scenes! Her contribution to the history of LEGO and this park is amazing. She is a real gem and a hoot! I'm a LEGO fanatic (on brand in LEGOLAND hat) as you can see by my City of Saint Archer! in our house under our spiral staircase. Love LEGO since childhood and into adulthood.

  Great birthday experience for my 6 year old twins. We stayed at the Castle Hotel and got early access to the park. We went on both Friday and Saturday. Friday was pretty dead, they got to open the park and get on every ride without waiting in line! Saturday was much more busy but we had our birthday passes, and the open park pass to go in the front of the rides. Both the kids had help from staff regarding Space Baby and Mr. Gold pop badges. I would definitely recommend for kids who love legos. I think there is a sweet spot on age. This is our second time staying at the LegoLand hotels, last year at the LegoLand hotel. I prefer that one. I do feel like they got a little more cheap on not doing the Legos in the safe every time as well as the complimentary beverages. I also like the setup of Bricks buffet better than Dragon Den. The castle pool is better, and has a jacuzzi. Overall everyone had a blast.

  Total Rip-Off for Families — Passholders Beware We drove all the way from Temecula to celebrate my daughter’s birthday at Legoland. We have annual passes, and in our heads that meant at least some kind of reasonable experience. Reality was the opposite. First problem: $40 parking, even for passholders. Yes, forty dollars just to enter a parking lot after already paying for annual passes. No flexibility, no discount, nothing. Then the birthday part. We asked about a birthday package for my daughter and were told it would be over $100 plus tax, with zero adjustment even though the park was closing in less than 2 hours. We asked for any kind of consideration and got a cold “pay full price or don’t do it.” No empathy, no family-friendly attitude, just upsell and move on. What really hit me was how little they cared about families who don’t have all day. I’m disabled, I move slower, and our time in the park is limited. That didn’t matter either. No accommodation, no flexibility, nothing. It honestly felt like we were treated as walking wallets, not guests. What makes it worse is that we only get to use the park maybe once a year. When you add up the drive, the passes, the $40 parking, and then they still try to squeeze another hundred-plus dollars for a birthday that would last less than three hours, it’s insulting. If you’re thinking of celebrating a birthday here or buying passes, understand this: the pass gets you through the gate, but everything else costs extra. A lot extra. The “family friendly” marketing is just marketing. The reality is pay-to-play at every step, and if you have a disability or limited time, they don’t care. There are better places to take your kids where you’re treated like a guest instead of a revenue source. We left disappointed and sad that my daughter’s birthday turned into a lesson in how theme parks operate now.

  Stayed the night before and it was worth it for the unique experience and early admission to the park! Some of the popular attractions have long waits but there are shows and games to do instead if you want. Legoland was a great experience for the kiddos and we loved how interactive they made it for our birthday boy!
