5.00I was traveling solo for my birthday and I love food and wine tours as they have proven to provide culture, conversation, and in the case of Lisbon…COD! 🤭 Jose was a wonderful guide, answering all my questions and providing the group with lots of humor along the way. We were a group of 10 people all from different parts of the U.S. and as is customary, we didn’t stop talking! We made six different stops, each providing a unique opportunity to learn about the history of the surrounding city as well as enjoy customary dishes of the Portuguese. Despite the rainy weather (yes we walked in the rain) the experience was worth it and the drinks were all very good! Highly recommend some good sneakers because I definitely fell on the way to the meeting point. (Super slippery streets when wet.) Take the tour. Eat the food. Drink the drinks and be ready for a siesta!

5.00Our tour leader Antonio had a good knowledge of Portugal and imported interesting info about the food and drinks we enjoyed. Everything was tasty and the alcohol was plentiful. As a small group it was easy to find our way through the busy streets.

5.00Fantastic. What a great experience we loved our guide. Catarina was the best- really nice and answered all our questions and was very knowledgeable. Even told us where to get drinks after. Amazing time.

5.00Our guide Filipina was excellent. She was very knowledgeable on the history of Portuguese food and drinks, all of which were delicious. The route was an easy walk and was just the right amount of time.

5.00One of the best walking and food tours we have ever taken. Our guide Jose provided engaging insights into Portugal's history, as we meandered the streets sampling delicious food, beer, wine and spirits. The food and beverage pairings were great, with the food being plentiful as well as the drinks. We sampled cod cakes, Bifanas..l which are traditional Portuguese sandwiches made with thin slices of pork that are marinated and simmered in a sauce of white wine, garlic, and paprika and served on soft rolls with plenty of mustard and piri-piri sauce, cheese along with flaming chorizo, seafood rice, and other various snacks. The drink pairings are on target from the beer with the pork sandwiches, Vino Verde with the cod, red wine with the cheese and chorizo, along with Port parings and wrapping things up with Ginjinha, or ginja, is an iconic, dark red, sweet-and-sour cherry liqueur from Lisbon, Portugal. Highly recommended!
