The lush forests of the Golovec hills hide a network of incredible, handmade mountain bike trails built and maintained by the local community. We are the first to offer a unique urban-to-trail experience that starts at the water's edge and ends in the heart of the Old Town.

5.00Tadej was a wonderful guide. We had ages 11 through 51 represented and he was able to plan routes that satisfied all. I would highly recommend!

5.00I was traveling with my family and my wife arranged a guide Mtn bike ride. The team went above and beyond in every way. They brought the bike to my apt. And David took me on a ride to the trails. The local clubs are building great flow and downhill trails. David and I even got to do some session work and work on my Mtn bike skills. They prepared a ride that was customized for me and flexibile with which trails you pick depending on your skill level. We got a little crazy and hit some legit Black diamond trails but we ramped up slowly and there was no pressure. Just fun. Im planning a return trip.

5.00Excellent tour David with trails for all skills and experience! If you’re a more experienced rider you have a good selection of blue, red and black trails at the centre. Don’t worry either if there are less experienced riders than you on the tour. Once you’re at the trail centre you can ride the trails as you wish. If you’re less experienced on a mountain bike also great!

5.00We spent a nice day riding the Golovec hill in Ljubljana. The tour was perfect and last minute (we just called in the afternoon for a tour on the other day) organized. Tadej knows the place like his pocket. He adapted the tour to our level. So we had fun, could ride some natural single trails and also the man made runs. Tadej helped building them so he knew exactly which run is best for our level. We got very good rental bikes in super condition! Thanx for this experience!

5.00During our Slovenian holiday we also visited the capital Ljubljana. Since we are not a big fan of classic city tours but still wanted to see something of Ljubljana, we decided to take advantage of the good weather and combine sightseeing with a bit of action. It was definitely worth it. Our guide Tadej was fantastic. His enthusiasm for mountain biking and showing his guests the trails on the Golovec hill were brilliant. The easy to intermediate trails were just the thing for us and time flew by. It was definitely worth his money.

5.00MTB capital from Ljubljana Active trips was awesome. Even if we were absolute beginners in MTB, Tadej provided the best advices and knowledge that was understandable to me and my 10 years old niece. MTB capital was developed by the locals in Ljubljana and it is done by locals who knows all the hidden gems in Ljubljana and are excellent storytellers! She got her best birthday present ever - quality time with her aunt in the nature, the right dose of adrenaline and the city sightseeing with an icecream at the end of the tour. Tadej, thank you!

5.00Our mountain bike tour with with Tadej from Ljubljana Active Trips was fantastic. We met him in Ljubljana and then biked to some fun MTB trails in the hills just outside the city that he has helped build. The bikes provided to us were high quality and in good working order, and we were also provided with snack bars, water bottles, gloves, and helmets. Tadeg is a great guide; he accurately explained what we should expect on the different trails, gave riding tips, went at an appropriate pace for the group, explained the history of the area and trails, and when one of our group took a little spill was prepared to take care of it. Even though the ride ran a little long, he still took us to a good ice cream/gelato shop. If we are ever back in Ljubljana, we will definitely book another tour with his him.
