Your visit begins with a tour of our charming farm, meeting pygora goats, donkeys, sheep, and our famously friendly barn cats, while learning about our historic 1850 homestead on 45 beautiful acres in the Hudson Valley.
Next, dive into Llama/Alpaca 101 to discover why these fluffy creatures are the "new unicorns." We’ll cover fun facts, safety tips, and answer questions before starting your trek.
Your guided journey takes you through peaceful pastures, paddocks, and by a serene bass pond, with plenty of chances for Llama/Alpaca selfies!
This is more than a walk—it's a chance to reconnect with nature, enjoy heartwarming animal encounters, and explore a working fiber farm. Come for the tranquility, stay for the magic!

Clover Brooke Farm Llama Alpaca Hikes
Your visit will begin with a brief tour of our farm and introductions to some of our smaller friends (i.e. chickens, rabbits, ducks, overly friendly barn cats ) with a short story of our 1850 homestead located in The Historic Hudson Valley on 25 bucolic acres . Next, Introduction to Llama/Alpaca 101 and why these soft and fluffy critters are the new Unicorn of animals. We will cover basic safety rules and answer any questions before we begin our trek. We will guide your Llama/Alpaca trek through gentle pastures, paddocks, past a stocked Bass pond and encourage Llama/Alpaca Selfies along the way. We hope to leave you a few minutes at the end to stop by the Farm Store and find a special farm memento. Please note that high heels and flip flops are not encouraged and bug spray is recommended. This experience is for ages 8yrs and older.

5.00We had the best visit to Clover Brook Farm. As city gals we were cautious about taking the alpaca/llama hike but we had so much fun. Our guide Katie was super- she explained how to handle our companions, Percy the llama & Remy the alpaca, and what to expect- she was professional and excited about her job. Several goats came along with us and they added a little mischief to the walk which was adorable!! After our hike we visited the other animals and enjoyed learning all about life on the farm. Our visit ended in the gift shop where we bought homemade wild thyme soap- can’t wait to try it! This would be a wonderful activity to do with young children who love animals and are curious about farm life. Highly recommend! 🦙 💚

5.00Small family run farm that allows you to walk their alpacas and llamas. Insightful host our day was the husband/father. Very knowledgeable and willing to answer all questions. Great way to round out a day in Hyde Park before or after the FDR library. Not really a hike. More like a walk through pastures and a jaunt through the woods. Maybe 0.5 miles. Where proper footwear. It is a farm after all!

5.00We had a great afternoon visiting the animals and walking with Remy, an alpaca. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We got to meet some goats, donkeys, sheep and llamas as well. They all have unique personalities and our guide shared their stories. Our guide was very engaging. She took a ton of photos of us with Remy at the photo stop. Highly recommend.

5.00I wanted to celebrate my daughter’s 9th birthday. We also wanted to get out of the city for a bit and enjoy some time away. Mike greeted us warmly and introduced us to some animals and answered questions. When we first arrived, the farm was more peaceful and beautiful than I could have possibly anticipated. My daughter and I walked with some alpaca’s named Bear and Teddy whose names were interchangeable. They were brothers a year apart in age. The walk was comfortable and alpacas were sweet and kind and looked at us with their memorable eye lashes and eyes. One of our favorite moments, was “picture rock” a moment to take a picture and take in the farm and its environment. We took an Amtrak train to Poughkeepsie and an Uber both ways. It was well worth it! If I was more organized I would have considered spending the evening in one of the lodging rooms available. Not only was it wonderful but very informative, relaxing, and enjoyable! Please don’t hesitate and go! Thank you, Mike!

5.00This is an amazing experience. We learned so much about llama and alpaca from Mike. Such great, interesting animals! He told us about each one; their background and personality as he brought them out for the hike. All the animals on the farm are clearly loved and very well cared for. The hike was relaxing and enjoyable. We stayed at their Airbnb on the farm. Andrea has created a beautiful, peaceful place to "get away", even for a short visit. We definitely plan to visit again for a new experience and hopefully participate in one of the craft classes offered.
Go take a walk with a llama or alpaca!!

5.00What a unique experience! Andrea, the tour guide was wonderful and very knowledgable. You can tell she genuinely cares about her animals. We had a lovely time with the Alpacas and Llamas.

5.00We took the Llama/Alpaca Hike and farm tour and had a great time on Cloverbrooke Farm! My husband, 8 year old daughter and I took a tour of the farm, met some goats, donkeys, farm cats, learned all about farm life and raising animals (mostly rescues) and then went on a beautiful hike with Llamas and Alpacas. Mike was our very knowledgeable tour guide and Andrea, his wife, assisted us in the gift shop. My daughter was thrilled with this tour and I felt it was a bucket list item that I didn't know I needed. Very sweet animals. I highly recommend this tour.

5.00It was a great time had by my friend and I. The host was very knowledgeable and a great fun group of other enthusiasts. I would recommend this outing it was actually on my bucket list. Wear good sturdy shoes.
