Travel with Wandee who tauch 2 finalists of The World Cook Season2 by Amazon Prime Series. She own cooking school in Khao Lak. Wandee is an expert about food at the hidden town, Takuapa. This place used to be a prosperous ancient trade city on the West coast of Thailand and has retained its simple and charming life style to this day. Let’s explore over 20 different food stalls where the locals come for their dining out. Start with unique chicken coconut milk curry sauce grill on charcoal, named “Gai Kolae”, then try a yummy tiny Thai sausage with pork and preserved rice. Get surprised by a royal cuisine Thai coconut pancake”, Kanom Krok” that is created right in front of you. Sit down to sample some Hoi Mok Pla in the banana leaf, a steamed curry fish, Southern style and more. At the end of the tour you will not leave without an incredible volcano roti pancake and “Cha Yen”, our Thai tea with milk. End your marvelous day with Thai Coffee at Chinese Portuguese cafe in Old town.

5.00An exceptional cooking workshop (much better than the one I had practiced in northern Thailand). The chef was able to adapt to our group and had a very very friendly personal “detail” for one of us. She was very present during the course that was from starter to dessert. She was supported by people who also guided us. At no time were we lost in the instructions to follow: everything was very fluid. The market visit was very didactic and allowed us to anticipate the cuisine. A great time spent in kindness and good humor! To do absolutely!

5.00Delicious food but also a very informative and fun tour about local cuisine, people and culture. Wandee is an amazing guide. We felt very special and taken care of. We visited several restaurants, ate soooo much yummy food and ended with a visit to a beautiful cafe and visit to the old town. Highly recommend this tour to anyone with a keen interest in Thai food and people. Bring your appetite and ask all the questions about the area!

5.00Wandee is very knowledgeable and personable she showed us some great Thai food that was not just the usual common Thai food that visitors are used to. Would highly recommend to all types but actual foodies with adventurous palates (tell Wandee you want to try new dishes). You'll learn the culture behind the dishes as well. Don't eat lunch beforehand. You will be very full.

5.00We had booked the tour "Tasting Local Food at Hidden Takua Pa" via TripAdvisor! It was just stunning and everything worked out perfectly. Picking up from the hotel and, visiting the two restaurants (very good tasty dishes in overwhelming numbers), visiting the "Nasch-Markt" with small samples at various stalls and stopping at a stylish cafe! This excursion is extremely recommended and the note: Please don't eat much for breakfast and lunch that day! And our tour guide, Wendy, accompanied all four participants with her knowledge and manner

5.00We had a wonderful experience attending this cooking class together with my fiancé. The morning market tour was well organized and clearly explained, with very fresh ingredients. The cooking class itself was professional, enjoyable, and well structured, with excellent ingredients and the option to choose our own dishes. Highly recommended.

5.00A great Foodie lovers tour with Wandee & Brook(?) on Sunday afternoon. Delicious soft shell crab 🦀 cooked by chef of many years experience, family owned restaurant. Then a tastebud riot of flavours at a Michelin recommended restaurant- local curry (spicy!), crispy pork belly, deep fried prawns in beatle leaf, I could have eaten the whole lot. Then a trip to TakuaPa Sunday market for More food!! And to finish off a stop at a gorgeous cafe..wholly recommend this tour!

5.00Great experience at Wandee’s cooking class. We visited the market to see the produce. Then we cooked some of the best Thai food I’ve tasted. We made spring rolls, Tom yum soup, pad Thai and massaman curry. Food was plentiful and ingredients were fresh. Wandee, Ole and Force were excellent teachers!
