Travel with Wandee who tauch 2 finalists of The World Cook Season2 by Amazon Prime Series. She own cooking school in Khao Lak. Wandee is an expert about food at the hidden town, Takuapa. This place used to be a prosperous ancient trade city on the West coast of Thailand and has retained its simple and charming life style to this day. Let’s explore over 20 different food stalls where the locals come for their dining out. Start with unique chicken coconut milk curry sauce grill on charcoal, named “Gai Kolae”, then try a yummy tiny Thai sausage with pork and preserved rice. Get surprised by a royal cuisine Thai coconut pancake”, Kanom Krok” that is created right in front of you. Sit down to sample some Hoi Mok Pla in the banana leaf, a steamed curry fish, Southern style and more. At the end of the tour you will not leave without an incredible volcano roti pancake and “Cha Yen”, our Thai tea with milk. End your marvelous day with Thai Coffee at Chinese Portuguese cafe in Old town.

A fabulous Thai cooking experience that catered for our large family group. The team worked well together and fully supported our immersive cooking experience. We left with a greater understanding of Thai cooking and look forward to trying these new recipes in our own kitchens

Great experience at Wandee’s cooking class. We visited the market to see the produce. Then we cooked some of the best Thai food I’ve tasted. We made spring rolls, Tom yum soup, pad Thai and massaman curry. Food was plentiful and ingredients were fresh. Wandee, Ole and Force were excellent teachers!
Highly recommend- easy and fun and filling!

Highly recommend this cooking class! Was just the right amount of time (about 4 hours), included local market tour and a simple and fun cooking class with lots of food and recipes to try back home!

From start to finish, this food tasting tour was an absolute highlight of my trip! Every stop was carefully chosen, showcasing not only the incredible flavors of the region but also the culture and history behind each dish. Our guide was both knowledgeable and passionate, weaving stories into every bite and making the whole experience feel truly authentic. The variety was outstanding — from street food gems to hidden family-run restaurants I never would have found on my own. Each tasting felt like a new adventure, and it was clear how much thought and love had gone into curating the tour. Portions were generous, so come hungry! What stood out most was how personal and engaging the experience was. It felt less like a tour and more like being welcomed into the local food community. By the end, I not only had a very happy stomach, but also a much deeper appreciation of the local cuisine and the people who create it. If you’re looking for an unforgettable way to explore through food, don’t hesitate — this tour is a must-do!

Thank you Wandee, the opportunity to taste local dishes at hidden restaurants was fantastic. We enjoyed the experience of watching the chef cook soft shell crab pad Thai, deep fried mussels, slow cooked pork and many other dishes for us to taste. The textures, taste and variety were a great way to explore the local cuisine. The next stop was to the local food market for the sweet treats and to see the traditional way to make the fish cake curry. Krua Baitoey Michelin recognised restaurant was a treat the yellow curry and steamed fish dishes - tasty and so fresh. My favourite the coffee/tea house in old town was beautiful to explore and the drinks were a nice way to finish the evening. I can highly recommend for young and old. Your curated food tour was perfect for us to explore the food and the area. We will be back again.

This food tour is a must! Great fun, food a plenty, hidden secret gems.. Lots of knowledge of the local area. Wandee is a great guide, fun and passionate about what she does, very accommodating to your food requirements and very generous! I hope she gets plenty of business with this tour as it's a fantastic half day out! Get your family together and DO THIS!!!

We went as a group to two restaurants plus a tea/coffee place. You will get a lot of food, so come hungry. The places are off the beaten track and we would never have thought to try them or many of the dishes we had. I had the best soft shell crab I have ever had and a fantastic Tom Yum soup. At the first place we had 6-8 dishes and the second we counted 12. Lots of different flavours and we explored far beyond the typical Thai food we had been exposed to. One of the best things I have done in Thailand.

What a great success to have chosen this wonderful "experience". A very entertaining and didactic morning too, all the people, from the driver who picked us up and accompanied us to the market for shopping 🛒 to the kitchen assistants 🍳 and of course the star, the teacher who has treated us luxury. Thank you very much and we will repeat it again sometime to continue enjoying and learning Thai cuisine.

We were collected on time and driven in a very comfy car. Wandee was an amazing guide with such a knowledge and passion for food . The food we ate was delicious and the restaurant had such an interesting history The added bonus was a trip to the local street food market, ending in a visit to the coolest coffee shop ever. If you’re thinking of booking this trip, just do it. You’ll be glad you did

This tour exceeded our expectations. Wandee was a wonderful guide, full of knowledge and with a great sense of humour. We loved the meal prepared at the little restaurant and had a great time wandering the street food stalls showcasing so many delicious foods. Wandee went out of her way to make sure we tried any food we expressed an interest in. There were many items we hadn’t tasted before which we thoroughly enjoyed. There was nothing we could fault over the whole tour and we would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone contemplating doing it!
