  Absolutely AMAZING tour with Janice. We have tried so many street food places that we wouldn't have even known about. Janice is so knowledgeable not only about the food, but also the history and background of George Town. We did a bit of a tour as well as the food. Cannot recommend Janice enough!

  The most lovely experience with Janice. She contacted me days before to confirm the tour, and I was able to share with her what I wanted to eat and what I was looking forward to. I really appreciate her hospitality, readiness, and organization. You can tell she has an excellent relationship with all the vendors and they go out of their way to make sure her guests are taken care of. We did not wait at all for the food to arrive at each location and appreciated her bringing extra tissues and wipes for us. She catered to my parents who are seniors and more picky about their food.   If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Janice really made this evening enjoyable and informative. Food totally off the beaten track. Forget night market stuff this was the real deal. I enjoyed multiple taste sensations I won't forget nor will I forget this tour. Just do yourself a favour... Do it.

  Janice shared her great knowledge of food and Malaysia's history. We ate a wide variety of food that we would never have usually tried and really enjoyed every moment of our tour. We highly recommend Janice. Word of warning, don't eat too much at the first few stops as you won't be able to fit everything in!!!

  We had a great experience with Janice, trying out a variety of local specialties. We visited places we would have never seen as tourists. Janice was very funny, informative, funny and also showed us some spots in the city, not only food. Thank you :))

  Picked up by our wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable host Janince and her brother, we embarked on an unforgettable food journey through the vibrant streets of Georgetown and its surrounding neighbourhoods. Our adventure began in a hidden laneway, where we sampled three distinct dishes, including a Michelin recognised dessert named Cendol, a unique take on Laksa, compared to my normal coconut based variety, and a flavour-packed shrimp noodle. Each stop offered not only delicious food but also stories. Janince shared insights into the local communities that gather in these areas each evening, bringing the laneways and night markets to life with conversation, laughter, and shared meals. I won’t give away every dish, you will want to discover them for yourself, but be prepared to enjoy a wide range of flavours: from street food at Tan Jetty to traditional Malay markets, tropical fruits, Chinese hawker favourites, and the aromatic delights of Little India. Along the way, you will learn about the area’s history, including land reclamation, the evolution of local housing, and tips for places to explore on your own. Don’t miss starting your day at 00 Coffee, an excellent choice. Janince is an exceptional guide. With a diverse background and a deep passion for food and culture, she brings each stop to life with warmth, humour, and rich knowledge. Come hungry, taste everything, and immerse yourself in the flavours and stories of Penang. You won’t be disappointed.

  We had a fabulous time learning interesting facts and sampling amazing food. Janice is such a wonderful host and we discovered a whole new world. We can’t wait revisit some of our favourites and try some extra places as recommended by Janice. We thoroughly recommend this tour and loved meeting Janice! 😋

  Janice was amazing. The tour took us to places that we wouldn’t have found on our own and we got to try so many great foods. Definitely make sure you are hungry before you go. Totally recommend.
