  Moony and his driver Mr Danny were excellent. The what’s app message we received first thing helped us easily locate Moony and his welcome was really lovely. The commentary was humorous and full of information. The two villages we visited gave us a great insight into the local culture and the lunchtime meal included was plentiful and tasty. The only downside was the two beaches we visited was full of plastic and other debris which was so very sad to see.

  A nice overview of Lombok. However, at each sight, we were handed off to another guide. Each stop involved either a purchase or an additional gratuity. Would have preferred to have just one guide.

• Great tour with just 6 people guide was excellent and went out of his way to accommodate everyone very knowledgeable

  Small group tour would recommend guide was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to accommodate, meal provided was beyond expectation. Good value for money and would take any day, half price of the cruise excursion

• Good tour…but…

  Our tour guide was great but sadly we were in a group of 6 who coukd not do all that was planned. It would have been better to have a larger group as when 4 of the 6 don’t want to do it all, it was awkward for the two that did. We did not know our group prior to joining tour. That was not the tour guides fault but really put us on the spot. Lunch was very poor in quality . Not good at all.

  Nice view of villages, rice fields,local traditional villages with crafts and lunch at the beach. Remarkable crafting by the ladies of the village using looms 8 hrs at a time.

  A full and interesting day. Very well organised from pick up at tge Cruise terminal to drop off. The guide was very informative, explaining local history and significance of sights. We visited 3 villages: first to a local pottery, then an art and craft (weaving) showroom and exhibit, finally a traditional and functioning Sasak village. The tour included a substantial Indonesian lunch at Kuta Beach followed by a leisurely afternoon of swimming and relaxation at the secluded Tanjung Beach with white sand and beautifully calm, warm water, ideal for children and non-swimmers as well as those who are better swimmers. Ample provision for those who wanted to go surfing (you have to go out in a boat to catch the waves outside the cove). Would definitely recommend this a stress free relaxing way to sample Lombok Island.

  We had such a lovely day, Moony couldn’t have been more helpful, took us to lovely places, we really enjoyed it and would recommend to others. A great guide, very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of good information. Big thanks.

• Too much shopping

  Our guide was a lovely sincere man, who genuinely wanted to please us. Unfortunately, his English let him down in places, and he admitted himself he was quite inexperienced. Our chief complaint was that the tour was totally geared towards shopping , with every “cultural “ experience followed by a hard sell. By the end, in pouring rain which didn’t help, the whole group begged to be taken back to the port, rather than yet another shopping experience at a pottery and then a pearl shop. We also had an unscheduled stop at a beach not on the programme, where, as a captive audience, we were besieged by local traders. We would suggest that this tour would have been greatly improved by a stop at one of the major temples or other cultural sights, to balance out all the shopping.
