Your driver-guide will pick you up at 9:00 am or at a time of your choice from the lobby of your hotel, Guilin Railway Station, Guilin Airport, Guilin city center, or any other designated location. Please let us know your hotel name, and we will pick you up from anywhere within 20 kilometers of Guilin city. (Note: Driver who also acts as a guide)
After a two-hour drive, you will arrive at the Longji parking lot,where you can purchase entry tickets to the Longji Rice Terraces. Next, you will head to the Ping’an Rice Terraces, the most beautiful terraces, which were among the first to be discovered by tourists. From the Ping’an parking lot, you will walk up to Viewing Platform No. 2 through the village via stone stairs. Along the way, you’ll observe the Zhuang people’s daily life and their traditional wooden houses. On reaching Viewing Platform No. 2, you’ll be greeted by the iconic “Seven Stars with the Moon” formation. From there, you’ll take a walk to Viewing Platform No. 1 along a flat path, passing bamboo groves, rice terraces, and stunning hill views. When you arrive at Viewing Platform No. 1, you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Rice Terraces. Afterward, you will enjoy a Chinese lunch at a local restaurant, then you can visit Huangluo honghair village to see the local people’ s daily life.

5.00A private tour that could be customised to what you want. The rice terraces cover a large area and there are different aspects to it that would be helpful to know about before you go. Too much to cover in one day.

5.00Had a solid tour with Leo. In my opinion, this is the best day trip to the fields. You get a private driver and English guide for the same price as some group tours. We took the electric car up to platform 2 and walked down to 1, then down to a delicious lunch. Both the car and lunch were a small extra payment. A few things to keep in mind with Longji 1. You’re in the mountains, which means weather changes quickly. And your tour guide doesn’t control the weather 2. To increase your chances of a clear day, aim for end of May to early October. But, again, see 1 3. The long hair show is once a day at 11am off peak (before May) and 5 times / day peak season. I chose to leave at 9am so we didn’t make the 11am show 4. The traditional festival is 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month, this year it was April 19, probably very cool experience. But I was too early. 5. There is a 3 platform, much higher, you can take an optional ropeway to, but you’d definitely need a clear day. So, ultimately I chose to leave late-ish at the end of rainy season, and I missed the hair show and had a misty day, but I enjoyed hanging out with Leo, the terraces were peaceful, he was more than happy to answer all my questions, walk with me the whole way, and chose an excellent spot for lunch.

5.00This was an excellent tour! Leo was a knowledgeable and engaging guide who kept us entertained with constant insights and information. Our weather was fantastic and the rice terraces were breathtaking. Leo also arranged for a tea tasting where we sampled all different types of tea. We finished our hike off with a tasty lunch with bamboo rice and bamboo chicken. Highly recommend this tour

5.00Had a really good experience visiting Longji Rice Terraces. My driver and guide Sandy was very friendly and easy to talk to, which made the whole trip more enjoyable. I felt safe throughout the journey as his driving was steady and comfortable. He also shared some background and explanations along the way, which helped me understand the places better. The whole trip was smooth and well organised, no stress at all. Overall very enjoyable, would definitely recommend to others!

5.00You are going to see remarkable view of the rice fields even in winter. Our guide Liao suggested taking the golf cart up and then walking which was a very good choice since it was a foggy day and it just cleared up when we arrived long enough to get some beautiful photos. He also preordered a wonderful lunch for us in the local restaurant.

5.00I had an amazing day with Leo! The rices terraces are beautiful and impressive, definitely worth a visit! The landscapes are breathtaking. Besides, the car was comfortable and very clean, and the place Leo recommended for lunch was excellent. Throughout the day, Leo went above and beyond to provide the best service possible. Highly recommended!

1.00We just completed this tour and feel it’s important to report a serious issue with the driver’s conduct. Throughout the drive, the driver was weaving in and out of traffic, making illegal moves on the road and was constantly on the phone while driving, which felt unsafe and irresponsible. In addition, the driver made several unscheduled stops that were unrelated to the tour, including stopping for gas, washing the car, and running personal errands to pick up some boxes. These interruptions significantly disrupted the tour and gave the impression that our time and safety were not being respected. Overall, the experience was highly unprofessional and fell well below what we would reasonably expect from a paid tour service. We are sharing this feedback so it can be properly addressed and to help ensure future guests do not have a similar experience.

5.00We had a great time walking around the rice fields. Our guide, Liu picked us up on time & provided us with local information & process for growing & picking the rice. We were lucky & had lovely weather which made it all the better. We would highly recommend this tour company & Liu for this tour.
