A full day tour to the Pak Ou Caves and Kuang Si Waterfalls. We depart Luang Prabang boat pier in the morning. Floating along the Mekong River, you will be in love with the beautiful landscape in Luang Prabang. Stop by a village "Ban Xang Hai" for tasting unique local rice whisky and rice wine. Afterward, exploring the mystery cave with local tour guide.
Having buffet lunch at the restaurant overlooking the Mekong river. In the afternoon, we take a car to waterfalls and enjoy swimming in the cool water. At 5pm, we leave for the city. Stop by a Hmong village en route. We'll meet Hmong people wearing traditional cloths and see their small Hmong museum. Arrival at the city center or your hotel at 6:00.
There is an option visiting waterfalls in the morning and Caves and Sunset Boat Cruise in the afternoon. This is the same experience except the morning and afternoon itineraries are swapped.

This tour is not hard at all. But it's about 10 hours full day excursion including a long distance drive (60km). If old people and infants are in your group, please consider to choose 2 days split option or private option

Whisky Village
A unique little village on the banks of the Mekong River. Ban Xang Hai, is also known as whisky village, is famous for their handicraft products like distilling and selling whisky, hand woven fabric and jewelry.
Pak Ou Caves
These two caves are located some 25km from Luang Prabang where the Nam Ou River flows into the Meking. The journey on a slow moving longboat to caves is decidedly picturesque. Motoring upriver you can see locals fishing and listen to the joyful laugher of children splashing in the water. The caves are revered throughout Laos and a very popular place for tourists and pilgrimsalike. There are some 4000 statyes abd statyettes in the caves, mostly of the Buddha, many stukk covered with paper thin gilding. The first cave is reached by a steep staircase from the river’s edge, while the second cave is a little deeper inside the mountain: bring a torchilight!

5.00It was a great experience with Manifa Travels and the price was very much worth and their service from picking from hotel to the locations and other arrangements like food was really perfect and we really had very great time because of them. 5.00We had a wonderful day trip with our excellent guide Mr Pingpong. The whole day was full of highlights, from the gorgeous waterfalls to the delicious buffet lunch (with lots of veggie options) with free-roaming elephants, whiskey village, the cave full of Buddhas and the sunset cruise along the Mekong. As a nice bonus beer was included for lunch and the cruise 😁The tour was great value and we enjoyed every moment! Thank you Mr Pingpong and the team 😊

4.00Great way to see a few places in one day. We were blessed to have Mr Pong as our guide, and his sharings were fun and interesting. Instructions were clear and easily understood. The tour did converge with other groups after lunch, so it did get a little messy. In a country that discourages smoking, perhaps the guests should be reminded not to smoke upwind from everyone else; a lady sat in front of the boat as well as next to lunch area and shared her 2nd-hand smoke with everyone. The food at lunch was cold and bland at best, and the van we travelled in was stuffy and warm.

5.00This was even better than I expected! The tour allocates seating at table and I had very interesting fellow travellers, along with the rest of the passengers. Well organised and helpful crew. Interesting visits arranged to Karen and Hmong villages plus Buddhist caves etc. Excellent views from the boat. The day was scheduled so that you could relax but also time never dragged. Initial booking was helpful and efficient. Recommended hotel was great.

5.00Great experience, nice visit to good places we could have seen without this organization. In addition we had the chance to do Mr Ping-pong who is really adorable, nice, always the friendly little word and really caring all day especially with the children who loved the day. Explanations throughout the tour very interesting and intuitive. Pleasant and unique lunch right next to the elephants where the conditions of it with great respect what we really cared about. The meal is good quality, fresh and local. A beer or soda is offered to end the day.

4.00Well organized tour. Relaxing cruise along the Mekong River to reach a local village, the gorgeous Pak Ou cave and the delicious lunch buffet location (where you can take a photo with elephants). The last part of the trip was seems like a long bumpy drive to Kuang si falls. Everything was great, only issue was with the AC on the coaster van going to the falls, it was hot and the AC was not working well.

5.00Amazing! I think this was one of the best tours I have ever done. Mr PingPong was a great guide and explained the whole day. The Kuang Si waterfalls are incredible and I had plenty time to swim and look around. A good buffet lunch and beer and then feeding elephants before the boat up the Mekong to the cave and then all the way down to Luang Prabang with a beautiful sunset. A very special day. Highly recommend this tour and company. Thank you for a wonderful time!
