Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

Experience an authentic Hawaiian luau amidst the splendor of Kauai - the garden island. Luau Kalamaku combines traditional luau elements - a Hawaiian feast, hula dancing and an imu (underground oven) with an award winning, theatrical performance. Gather under a massive open air pavilion to enjoy live music and a buffet dinner of local Hawaiian favorites. Grab a Mai Tai from the open bar before the lights dim, signaling the start of the theatrical and fiery show which chronicles the story of ancient Hawaiian's epic sea voyage from Tahiti to Kauai. Loved the different vendors before the show. The food was good and the pork was especially delicious. There was a limited choice for my granddaughter, but she found some items that she was willing to try. The show was exceptional and exciting. Loved the atmosphere around the venue. The wine choices could be more extensive.

This Luau was a highlight of our trip. The buffet was yummy and the show was spectacular. It was beautiful storytelling through dance and music. My boys are now determined to be fire dancers! We also enjoyed the train ride around the plantation with history about the island. I undoubtedly recommend this Luau. It was very obvious how much pride the dancers take in their art and heritage.

Staff made every effort to ensure all guests enjoyed their evening. Performers were amazing, bartenders were generous, and the buffet never ran out. Parking (and exiting) were easy.

Great experience. Touristy - yes but the train was fun, the food was delicious, and the show was very entertaining. We were ages 5-72 and all enjoyed it.

The show was fantastic, I love the story line, but the food was atrocious… overcooked chicken, fish was fishy and mushy, noodles were nasty and dry…drinks were limited… the only thing worth eating was the salad… going to a big luau I expect the food the be on average but this year was not even eatable…. Do better…..

Worth a visit when you visit! The show was great and the drinks and food were completely included in the prices. Great little vendors to buy things if you like before the show. The show itself was awesome! Great performance. We didn’t ride the train but recommend getting there early or prepay to have a spot reserved. The train package takes you across the property before the show and food. There was a line at the door before opening.

Food and drink poor quality. At our table most of it went to waste. God bless the dancers. They worked hard. We are embarrassed to have spent this much on this.
