5.00One of the most relaxing moments of our time in Luxor was this wonderful felucca sailing tour on the Nile. After a busy day visiting temples and historical sites, being on the river felt incredibly peaceful. The traditional wooden felucca boat was beautiful and very comfortable. Our captain was friendly and experienced, and the whole atmosphere was calm and authentic. There is something special about sailing the Nile the traditional way, just using the wind and enjoying the quiet surroundings. The views were stunning. Watching the sun reflecting on the Nile while passing the green riverbanks and small villages was unforgettable. It really gives you a different perspective of Luxor away from the busy streets. The whole experience was well organised, relaxing and very enjoyable. If you are visiting Luxor, I highly recommend taking a felucca sailing trip. It is a simple but magical way to experience the Nile. A perfect, peaceful break during a busy Luxor itinerary.
