Carrick A Rede Rope Bridge
The Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge was first established in 1755 – nearly 265 years ago! In its day there was only one single hand rail and the odd wooden slate every few steps. It was highly unsafe and a real thrill seeker may have found the excitement in crossing. The bridge has massively evolved from then to create a safer experience whilst keeping the excitement and thrill of crossing intact. Located along a stretch of the North Antrim Coast, the Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge sits roughly 100 feet over the hollow waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The crossing is often considered daring and for thrill-seekers due to the bridges tendencies to sway in the wind and the drop from looking down. We find this is a great stop and a great piece of the North Antrim Coast to include on our Giants Causeway Tour. **Please Note** - Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge has reopened and is now accepting time-slot bookings. We will be in touch to assist you with your time-slot for crossing after booking your tour.
The Dark Hedges
Final stop before our return to Belfast is The Dark Hedges again this is a famous Game of Thrones film set where 'The King's Road' was placed. The trees dating back to 1775 were placed to create an imposing look into the Gracehill House Estate. There is a legend that the ghost of Grey Lady comes to the tree's and crosses from tree to tree. The lady is claimed to be the spirit of James Stuarts' daughter or one of the house maids from the Gracehill House. This is quickly becoming a piece of heritage within the North of Ireland and is a fantastic spot for Game of Thrones fans and normal tourists!

5.00We had a wonderful day exploring the area culminating with a visit to Giant's Causeway. Stephen provided us tremendous historical information that helped give us a true feel for Belfast and the entire area. He is a great guide and made sure we were safe and comfortable. We would recommend him to anyone wanting to spend a day getting to know Northern Ireland.

5.00Paul was absolutely fantastic! The trip started out rough for us, because we overslept (that was first) and I sent an email asking to start 30 minutes later. He quickly replied and accomodated us, which made our private trip well worth it right off the start. Paul, being a local, gave us so much historical insights into the experiences of Belfast and his own personal experiences, and we cherished all of the information he was willing to share. We saw the trees known as Dark Hedges, the Swinging Bridge (we saw, but it closed due to high winds- the winds were gale force that day), the Giant's Causeway, a stop for a break and light bite, Jamesons, and he even stopped at the pro shop at the famous golf course at my husband's request. We stopped at a castle ruin, but I opted to not "go in", and we stopped at a beautiful harbor. We had a few GOT sights, which was great. Doing a private tour costs more, but you get the benefit of customization.

5.00So glad we booked this private tour. Paul was an amazing and entertaining driver. It was nice to have a local perspective to show us around tell us stories about growing up in Belfast. He was every accommodating and organized with what we really wanted to see and spend our time doing on our itinerary. 10/10 recommend. thank you again paul!

5.00Chris was a fantastic tour guide. Picked us up right off the ship and entertained our family of five for hours with history, stories and humor. We saw so many amazing sights and enjoyed some local food at a little pub at The Giants Causeway that was fantastic. If you travel to Belfast I highly recommend Chris and Taxi Tours NI!

5.00This was an amazing tour!! My family and I knew little to nothing about norther Ireland and our guide was amazing. We talk about this tour all of the time. The guide is also so funny and super knowledgeable about the area and the history as he is a local.

5.00Chris was an excellent guide and made the tour very memorable, personable and entertaining. The coastline was spectacular. We finished a bit early so Chris added the Belfast peace wall and a local pub for a proper pint of Guinness. Another nice touch was that refreshments were provided in the Limo.
