Our experienced local captain ensures the best vantage points for seeing the northern lights. Enjoy the serenity of the arctic landscape and, with luck, witness the northern lights while relaxing in the warmth of the hot tub.
Savor a serving of our local reindeer soup. Please inform us at least 24 hours in advance if you would prefer a vegetarian soup.
Our knowledgeable crew is there to answer any questions you might have about your surroundings, as well as the history and culture of the local area and Norway.
Dress warmly to appreciate the scenery from the outer decks amid the natural elements. Go inside to relax in the warm saloon with books, games, pillows and blankets, as well as unlimited coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water, and cookies available throughout the cruise.
The 33 meter yacht provides luxurious space and comfort for an intimate group of up to 12 guests.

Embark on a evening cruise in search of the Northern Lights. Enjoy exclusive access to an outdoor hot tub, a serving of reindeer soup & luxurious space on a yacht for only 12 guests. -Dress in layers. Light clothing for when relaxing inside, and waterproof/windproof outdoor winter clothing to be outside in order to enjoy the scenery. -To ensure a clean & luxurious atmosphere for all guests, shoes & outdoor clothing must be removed to enter the interior of the yacht. -No drinks, including alcohol, are sold, alcohol use is prohibited, & no food or other drinks are available for purchase. -Cruising distance varies & aurora sightings are not guaranteed. -Use of the hot tub includes a shower, changing room & hair dryer. Swimwear is required to enter the hot tub. Bring your own towel/robe. Towel rentals are available onboard. -Must inform at least 24 hours in advance if you prefer a vegetarian soup or have other dietary restrictions. -All guests must sign a waiver before boarding.

5.00The Stella Oceana, a beautiful ship, docks in a perfect location in the middle of the Tromsø Haven District. The team, Captain Kenneth and Sachi, are doing their job with passion! Beautiful tours, super interesting facts about fjord and wildlife, enjoying Aurora Borealis in the warm hot tub or warming up after Polar Plunge, hot chocolate and cookies and the wonderful reindeer stew conjured up by Sachi make a fjord cruise with World Sea Explorers an unforgettable experience. On board: Wonderfully maintained ship, crew with a lot of experience, shower/WC, coffee, tea, cookies in self-service, depending on the offer lunch, dinner, hottub use. Enough comfortable seating in the warm below deck, 2 outdoor decks to enjoy the dream landscapes.

5.00Incredible friendly captain and crew. Very insightful as well. Will help you find the aurora once in a spot that he knows will be visible. The food is excellent and filling. Overall, a very accommodating and experienced experience.

5.00The Oceana Stella was in immaculate condition- due to the efforts of Captain Kenner & his wife Sachi. Both were incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly. We could tell that they were invested in bringing a wonderful experience to our family. The Captain’s enthusiasm in siting the Aurora Borealis was contagious! You MUST try the Reindeer stew. We thought we’d be handed a paper cup with a few spoonfuls of- No! Sachi set the table and brought us a huge bowl of stew, with garlic bread. DELICIOUS! And coffee, tea & hot cocoa weee free to enjoy. Finally - you haven’t lived until you have searched for the Northern Lights, while sitting in a hot tub - North of the Arctic Circle. I highly recommend this tour. Heartfelt Thanks to Captain Kemmet & his wife Sachi. My family would happily take this tour again.

5.00First we would like the captain again for taking us out during a such an intense snowstorm! We were able to catch clear pockets of sky and stars. Soaking in the hot tub while floating on the Norwegian Sea with the heavy snowfall was an amazing experience. I felt just like the Japanese macaque. Lol We all had a great time aboard and it was warm and cozy under deck when we wanted to get out of the snow. The stew was hot and delicious and it was nice to pick what time we wanted to eat. It was easy to see how much the ship is loved and cared for, it was beautiful with the old wood interior and was comfortable. Everyone had a fantastic night and will remember it forever.

5.00Had a lovely time cruising with Sachi and Kenneth on the Northern Lights cruise. Met some lovely people and tried reindeer stew for the first time which was beautiful. Unfortunately we didn’t see any Northern Lights but it was lovely to meet Sachi and Kenneth and would highly recommend this cruise if you want a small group of 12 or less and there is a hot tub on board if you want to take a dip.

5.00Amazing! The boat captain and his wife are absolutely lovely. We were scheduled time in the hot tub so we were able to enjoy the experience privately, not in a group as we originally thought. Showers, dinner, warm drinks and snacks were provided and all was wonderful. If you are looking for a relaxing evening under the northern lights, do not pass this experience up!

5.00One of the best experiences ever! The crew was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The hot tub underneath the northern lights was an out of this world experience, not to mention the food afterwards was delicious!! Would book again in the future!
