Tuatau V is our large 50 foot catamaran which offers private luxury touring cruises in Moorea for groups up to 14 passengers.
We offer a standard 6 to 7 hour tour from usually 10 am to 5 pm. We can adjust this schedule or modify it entirely, should you have any specific cruise requests, food, drinks, etc.
Our custom tour consists in cruising the two bays of Cook and Opunohu. We also usually anchor in the lagoon in one of the many available sandbars to go swim and snorkel.
Should you desire it, our friendly captain and hostess will entertain you aboard in sharing legends, do pareo presentations, teach you how to weave, make fresh coconut milk, and many more activities.
Water, soft drinks, fruits and snacks are included. We do work with a caterer if you would like a meal cooked on board. You can also bring your meal and/or drinks.

Temae
Once leaving the Vaiare marina and leaving the coral reef behind us, we enter the Deep Blue, the turquoise shallows give way to a vivid cobalt depth. The shoreline of Temae Beach—white sand fringed with lush palms—appears on our way while cruising towards the Cook Bay. Spinner dolphins may join us, as they are known to leap in sync with boats or glide nearby. We may also experience the unforgettable encounters of migrating humpback whales on our way. From July to November, Moorea’s waters become a critical stop for those incredible whale mothers coming to give birth offshore.

Along our way, depending on your desire and timing, we will be snorkeling at one of the Mooera sandbars. This experience is an unforgettable sensory escape—crystal-clear water, minimal effort, and an intimate glimpse into a vibrant underwater world. This isn't just snorkeling—it’s a tranquil communion with Moorea’s lagoon, where everything from the white sand to the rippling light feels in harmony. The scenes—rays drifting by, sharks passing near without aggression, fish scattering in color—create a profound sense of connection with the ocean’s calm wonders.

5.00We had a wonderful cruise in Moorea. Our group ranged in age from 15 to 81, and everyone had a great time. The boat was beautiful and the scenery of the island was stunning. Our crew was wonderful, attentive and made the day even more enjoyable. Snorkeling in the warm turquoise water was definitely a highlight. Communication with the owner was excellent, we were able to arrange a delicious catered lunch the day prior. We hope to return and book again!

5.00We booked a private luxury catamaran tour in Moorea for our group of 14, and overall it was a very enjoyable and well-run experience. From the start, the operator was easy to work with and communicated clearly during the booking process. On the day of the tour, both the captain and a crew member spoke good English, which made everything simple and comfortable for our group. Transportation was handled smoothly—they arrived on time and picked us up in two vans. We paid $10 per person for the ride to the yacht, which felt very reasonable for the distance. Best of all, they were able to drop us directly at the cruise port afterward, saving us from arranging a taxi or additional transportation. We boarded the catamaran right on schedule at 10:00 a.m. and were ready to enjoy a full day on the water. Our first stop was at a sandbar with decent snorkeling. The current wasn’t too strong, making it a relaxed and enjoyable swim for most of the group. After that, we spent about 1.5 hours sailing toward Cook’s Bay, which was a highlight in itself. The catamaran was spacious and comfortable, with two forward nets where several of us lounged for much of the day, a shaded table area in the back, and two bathrooms. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The crew also provided towels after snorkeling, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch. The crew provided water and some snacks, and we brought our own charcuterie to enjoy during the sail. They were very accommodating and supplied everything we needed—knives, cutlery, plates, napkins, and glasses—which made it easy to relax and enjoy our food onboard. The only small thing that would have made it even better would have been having ice available. Our second snorkel stop was near the entrance of Cook’s Bay. The current here was quite strong, so we didn’t stay in the water long—it was definitely more challenging and tiring than the first stop. Afterward, we sailed for about another hour before returning to the dock. Overall, this was a great private charter experience with a friendly, professional crew, a beautiful boat, and seamless logistics—especially for a large group arriving by cruise ship. A lovely way to spend the day in Moorea, and I would absolutely recommend it for groups looking for a relaxed, scenic sailing experience.

5.00The crew was exceptional, and their catering recommendation was spot-on. Everything was seamlessly arranged, from taxi pickup at the cruise port to our time on the water. We spent a perfect afternoon aboard the catamaran, with stops at several beautiful snorkeling spots. It was effortless, memorable, and absolutely something I would do again without hesitation. I wish we could have gotten the speakers on the boat to work, but we made do.

5.00Best priced luxury experience in Moorea! Our family was well taken care of and educated by a top-notch nautical crew. We enjoyed fresh food cooked on the boat and went to multiple lagoons that are great for snorkeling. What a beautiful and relaxing experience, a definite recommend!

5.00We travelled to Moorea in Nov as a family of 6 and got to experience a full day of cruising around the various bays in Moorea. The whole experience was incredible... the boat, the friendly crew, the food and drinks. This is a unique opportunity to see the island from a different angle and learn about the local culture. Highly recommend the activity!

The crew was very polite and professional but above all friendly and welcoming just like the rest of the locals of Moorea. The hospitality when it came to catering, attending to, laying out, arranging, serving drinks and snacks along with fresh cut fruit was never laking. I was very pleased with the service, truly first class all the way. Options were provided whether you choose to snorkel, swim or want to view particular areas of the island the crew and captain will make it happen and will accommodate.
