  I teamed up with Fatih to bring a group of 8 clients with me for the Lycian Way walk combined with boat trips , sightseeing in Istanbul & archeological sites . Fatih was our guide and selected the best sections of the Lycian Way for us to hike . We combined the walk with diverse experiences at mealtimes & our accommodation to make sure we experienced Turkish hospitality , wholesome cuisine , family life , villages , major cities and the old town in Antalya. For anyone looking to explore Turkey and its diverse nature and culture I highly recommend Overland Trekking Travel and look forward to returning with more clients . Fatih’s experience, passion, commitment and love of his country is clear to see and he’s definitely a safe and trusted travel partner for global travelers.   Fatih belongs ‘on the track’. He’s full of care and knowledge and knows when to step forth and when to fade into the back. The Lycian Way and Fatih will always be synonymous with each other for me.

• Incredible guide & tour

  Fatih and Overland Tours was simply incredible. Due to time restraints we did a 6 day “highlights” trek of the Lycian Way, most days takes taking short transfers by car to a starting point then hiking from 3-6 hours each day. We left a lot of the decisions up to Fatih and that certainly did not disappoint. Not only is he an expert with route planning (he always knew which direction to go for the better route, which sections to avoid, etc.), he was incredibly knowledgeable about the history, mythology, and even local flora. He took the time to point out interesting things that we would have certainly missed if we attempted to hike the trail alone, which made it all the more worth it to have a guide. Even the pensions we stayed at and the restaurants we ate at were hand-picked by Fatih, and each one was different and charming in its own way. We really felt like we got the full Lycian Way experience. Fatih was also very attentive the entire trek, and often went out of his way to help other hikers we met along the trail. He seemed to us like a great ambassador for the trail, making sure everyone— not just us— had the best experience possible. We really can’t recommend Fatih enough and are so grateful for our experience.

  

  

  

  

• A great experience on The Lycian Way

  We did a 3 day tour on Lycian Way paths with a private group of 7 including family and friends. We started at Fethiye. Our guide Fatih made this a wonderful experience. We loved the beautiful landscapes, breathtaking views and variations in flora and de fauna along the coast. The tour included a short visit to Sidyma ancient city where we met Kate Clow, writer and creator of Turkey's long distance trekking route The Lycian Way. The tour was very well organized and included delicious meals and good hotels. Fatih adapted the tour whenever needed and organized all transport. He was also very knowledgeable about local history, flora and fauna.   2 families took an 8-day trip along the Lycian Way at the end of February. The weather was perfect as well as the views. The sea was still a little cool but that didn't stop our children. Overlandtravel enabled us to have a tailor-made holiday. Our guide Fatih was very attentive to our group. The route chosen, the difficulty of the walk, the various visits, the hotels chosen... everything was organised to measure. He made us meet with Kate Clow.   Our group had an incredible time hiking the Lycian Way. Fatih was a brilliant guide, sharing his extensive knowledge and love for his country and catering for all our needs. The hiking was challenging but rewarding and Fatih allowed for swimming opportunities whenever possible. Being hosted by villagers made it a truly authentic and unforgettable experience.

  I don’t know how we got so lucky to find Fatih and Overland Travels for our small group’s incredible personalized trek and cultural tour along the Lycian Way. Words and photos are not going to be nearly sufficient to describe our experience, but I will try. Initially, we chose the independent self-guided tour curated by Fatih, but later reading about the trail caused us to change our minds and include the guide, which turned out to be the best choice and an unexpected special experience we will remember for a long time. Fatih crafted such a heartfelt, thoughtful, personable experience and provided an incredible level of service and genuine care that made us feel like family. He was attentive to the moment and the feel of our small group, making appropriate adjustments along the way, with a sensitivity that was really something special. He has a great attention to detail, is an aesthete who knows really good authentic food, people and experiences, has an appreciation of history, quiet, beauty, humor, respect for nature, good relationships with people and has a lot of patience. We were hard to corral at times and he was incredibly accepting and tolerant, yet kept us on task and drove the pace in a firm but sensitive way so that we got the most out of the tour. The hotels and pensions were well chosen, family-run establishments that we loved, run by good people. The tour he curated was extremely well put together and focused on the best parts of the Lycian Way and breathtaking cultural experiences rich with many ancient city ruins, tombs of different eras, a fort, a beautiful boat ride to a sunken city with lunch and swimming in a cove, lots of walks, hiking and swimming. He arranged our airport to hotel transportation and arranged a very sweet driver for the whole tour. We fell in love with Turkiye and it’s people and can not wait to go back under Fatih’s care, again, of course! This was an experience of a lifetime that changed us. • Hiking the best of the Lycian Way

  We had an amazing adventure, great landscapes to see, the expedition was very well curated since we visited the most relevant and amazing parts of the Lycian way, we were impressed of how many different landscapes and atmospheres you get to see and experience. Our guide Fatih was great, charming and very profesional. We had an amazing time with overland travel, i will definitely recommend him and the agency!
