  Kantu and her coworkers are truly efficient and nice to deal with. Kantu helped us to plan a trip with my 86-years-old father. We did a grand tour around the Cusco region; the crown jewel of this trip was the visit to Machu Picchu. Our guide was most knowledgeable and flexible, he and the driver were always on time. We have experienced so much in this amazing stay. A final thing, cusqueños are among the nicest people I have met in Peru. My family and I warmly recommend this tour company.   This is the best tour agency in Cusco, period. It's no surprise that Kantu of Nomad Travel won the best tour guide award. The service Nomad Travel provides is exceptional. They made sure to plan our trip to Machupicchu to perfection, each and every detail was thought out for us carefully. My wife and I had been to Machupicchu years ago without the help of a quality tour agency and the difference was night and day. This time we didn't want to leave anything to chance as we were taking our 2 kids for the first time. Every step of the journey that Nomad Travel planned for us was so enjoyable. A comfortable private bus (large van) took us from downtown Cusco to the train station in Ollantaytambo. There we had a small break to stretch our legs and buy snacks. Inka rail took us from Ollantaytambo to the town of Machupicchu (Aguascalientes). This train ride was so much better than the one we took years ago. Snacks, tea, music and theatre included! Beautifully renovated waggons, friendly service and breath taking views from the panoramic windows. We spent one overnight in Aguascalientes, our lodging arranged as well by Nomad Travel along with the BEST restaurant recommendations for dinner and lunch the following day. So grateful for this expert insight provided by Kantu. In the morning we took the bus from the station to Machupicchu gate entrance. Years ago the Machupicchu experience was a more open, walk where you like, situation. Now you must choose a circuit and stick to that circuit. This is done to lessen negative impact on certain areas and to better spread out the constant flow of tourists walking through. I could go on and on about how amazing Machupicchu is, but you simply have to experience it yourself. After our 3hr walk around our designated circuit, we returned to the nearby town of Aguascalientes by bus. We had a lunch at another absolutely fabulous restaurant recommended by Nomad Travel. We squeezed in a visit to the local butterfly museum (totally worth while!) and then we caught our train with Inka rail back to Ollantaytambo and subsequent shuttle bus to Cusco. All I can say is that if you are lucky or smart enough to choose Nomad Travel for your excursions, you will be blessed. Kantu is the real deal. A kind and generous local tour guide who speaks perfect English (a rare quality), with a profound understanding of the local history and a passion that is contagious.

  Took my family to Peru on a 9 day trip from Lima to Cusco. Found Nomad Travel from my wife’s friend in college. I was at first skeptical on booking a travel guide but was not disappointed! Kantu was our travel guide and I cannot recommend her enough! She was the best! Our driver, Nico, was super professional and fun! Nomad travel is the travel agency guide to book in all of Peru!   This trip was a last minute request from out side. I’m talking 7pm the evening before our visit. Tantu cam through for us big time. By 9pm we had train,bus and Machu Pichu tickets. Tantu has bubbly positive personality, is very knowledgeable and knows when to give you a quite moment to take it all in. My dad is not that mobile and we appreciated her patience.   Kantu is an inspiring and accomodating tour guide. My mother (83 year old), my husband and I went on a private tour to visit Sacsaywaman, Quenco, Tambomachay and Pukapukara, Nothing was too much trouble for her. My mother was able to have access to all sites. A wheelchair was facilitated and helped us to have a lovely day. Kantu explained very clearly and informatively history and culture.

  I worked with Kantu from Nomad Travel to plan our last minute 10 day trip to Peru (at the last minute I found an inexpensive flight from Miami). With only a month to plan Kantu did an amazing job creating our itinerary. The attention to detail and her availability for questions while in Peru was amazing. We were a family of six (my sister in law and our 4 kids) packed our schedule tight in order to maximize our time. We sand boarded in Huacachina, toured the salt flats, explored the lovely town of Ollantaytambo, toured Machu Picchu, hiked Machu Picchu, hiked to Humantay Lake, hiked Rainbow Mt, swam with sea lions and more. It was amazing and the kids loved it, especially sand boarding and sea lions. I can’t say enough good things about our amazing experience. Nomad schedule each tour prior to use arriving in Peru and because we were a large party that included a private van and tour guides. This is the first time I’ve hired a travel company and it was well worth the extra money.
