From rare ecosystems to stunning vistas, this eco-conscious adventure lets you explore areas that few travellers ever experience. Some points of interest will vary according to tides and weather, but

if you’re a nature lover or an adventurer at heart, this is the tour for you!

When booking your tour:

1. Please let us know which departure point you would like to be picked up from - Nelly Bay ferry terminal at 8.15am or  Picnic Bay jetty at 8.25am.

Magnetic Island

Discover the side of Magnetic Island that few people experience, on our fun & informative 3.5 hour guided West Coast Eco Discovery Tour. We will take a slow bus trip along the West Point road as we explore mangroves, forests, waterfalls, creeks, as well as historic and cultural sites. Traverse rugged tracks to discover pristine beaches, ancient rock formations, and unique conservation areas. This Eco-enriched exploration showcases Magnetic Island’s diverse wildlife, Indigenous history, and rare ecosystems presented by our passionate, knowledgeable and accredited guide. Enjoy a fresh, seasonal morning tea in paradise, the midst of the island’s natural beauty. A little low impact walking will be done during the tour, and may include 2 to 3 short walks through the mangroves, the salt mashes, along creek lines and along the beach at West Point. All walks will be easy in nature. This tour offers a more relaxing wander rather than an active adventure.

Our guide knew many things about the island, was enthusiastic and keen to ensure our excursion was worthwhile. We stopped and explored several interesting places. The lunch he provided was very nice too.

Yesterday we were on tour with Tim and took a lot of it with us. Great tour, with a tour guide who can convey interesting information in a fun way. We really enjoyed the tour. Thank you also for the delicious picnic at the end. We can highly recommend the tour.

We had a wonderful morning, learning alot about the island eco system especially saltwater and freshwater trees. Also we saw a mum and baby koala in the wild and learnt about birds etc. Tim shared alot of interesting information and a beautiful tasty morning tea. It was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it if you're interested in nature.

Tim’s tour was entertaining, enjoyable and very informative. We saw and learnt much more about MI life than we would have travelling by ourselves. Our children also enjoyed the tour and Kenny Koala.

We really enjoyed this island tour! The explanation about the mangroves was very interesting, and it was great to see koalas away from the usual tourist spots. Our guide Tim was knowledgeable, friendly, and always available for questions. A tour I would definitely recommend to discover this beautiful part of the island.

It was such a great tour. Tim was very professional, knows a lot about biodiversity and is a nice guy too. We saw 5 koalas and Tim takes the time to tell us all about the things he knows. Thanks Tim, you are amazing!!
