The history and beauty of Magnolia Plantation has stood the test of time. It is also the only Plantation on the Ashley River that survived both the American Revolution and the Civil War. It is one of the oldest plantations in the south and is also known as America's most beautiful Garden. This guided Magnolia Plantation Tour comes with round trip transportation in our climate controlled buses. All gate fees are included in the price of this 4.5 hour tour and will allow you to step back in time, so you can experience Magnolias incredible history. On this tour, you will experience a 45-minute narrated tram ride past slave cabins, through swamps, rice fields and see wildlife such as alligators, egrets, herons, and turtles on the nearly 600 acre plantation and garden visit. You will also receive a guided walk through America's last large scale Romantic Garden, which is also known as America's most beautiful Garden.

This is a well run and interesting tour. We enjoyed the different parts - touring the house, the gardens and the slave quarters. The tour guides did a great job.

We did mansion and slave tours only due to time we had. They were both very well done and interesting. We especially enjoyed the slave your presentation. Weather was cool and cloudy but didn’t stop us

Great tour. Location was not the easiest to find for meet up. Maybe a little more direction in your description? Bus driver spoke on way out and was interesting but the bulk of tour was on the plantation. DO NOT miss the Slave lecture. It was gracefully done with so many facts - Millie was fantastic!

Great tour. Learned quite a bit at the plantation. Shawn our driver for the first part of the journey was very knowledgeable . He was thorough. The plantation was beautiful. The guides at plantation were great too. This was a family trip. Very informative.

Excellent driver who shared relevant information en route to Magnolia. 3 excellent tour guides for the Plantation home, the gardens and nature tour and the From Slavery to Freedom tour. Well organized. Fascinating and well worth the visit!

This experience is like getting four tours in one! As you’re transported to the plantation you’re given a wonderful historical background of the area and what you’re about to see. When you arrive to the plantation you are taken on a tram ride through some of the grounds. You see wildlife and amazing flowers and foliage. Next you get a tour of the home. Finally, another guide explains enslaved life and you can tour some living quarters. You have some time to explore on your own as well. Such an enlightening experience!

We enjoyed this tour! Al was a great guide for the ride to and from the Plantation. He was very knowledgeable on Charleston history and engaged with the group. Once at the plantation, we enjoyed a tour of the home, a ride through the swamp land (saw a few gators, birds, and turtles), and free time to explore the beautiful gardens. There is also time to grab a light lunch where you might be visited by a peacock.

Magnolia is a stunningly beautiful place with multiple gardens. There is a Japanese garden, a bridge that is particularly picturesque and marsh land that has wild life. Take the train tour that goes around the grounds because it's a great way to see the place and learn about Magnolia's history.

Tour Guide never introduced himself, (Jack Walker). He was very disorganized and disoriented about the day's events. Stated he didn't make the time schedule. Tour needs more time to explore the mansion and grounds. we were rushed the entire time. won't go back to this company for a tour.
