First you will be picked up from your Hotel or AirBnB in the specific areas in Santiago from 7:30 AM.
Campo La Quirinca
The first stop is the amazing family farm ‘’Campo La Quirinca’’ The experience is completed with a full tour in the facilities and gardens discovering the different kind agricultural productions, you will be introduced to the Chilean country way to produce wine, also learn about the animal husbandry as Alpacas, various breeds of chickens and more. After the fun tour you’ll get in to the salon to relax and enjoy the wine tasting plus the famous chilean pisco. Many of the local products are available for purchase so you can take something authentic to your home.

5.00Do you love wine? Book this tour. Our tour guide Sofia Margarita (ironically not doing tequila tours) was fantastic. From the minute we stepped on the bus the tour started. She gave us full breakdown of what makes the Maipo region so special for wine production - as well as giving historical context of wine production. Each winery was fantastic. Compared to the wine tours we've done in Italy this was much more robust, entertaining - and frankly they gave us more wine! If you have mobility issues this was a very accessable tour, and our wonderful driver Matty was always on hand to help us in and off the coach. 11/10 - a must-book if you're in Santiago.

The Maipo Valley doesn't disappoint

4.00Sofia was the best and kept us informed about the Maipo Valley. She took us to a very cool and scenic viewpoint over the valley 1st, before proceeding to our first winery. The first two wineries were very small, and the one, La Quirinca at the moment is not harvesting their own grapes, as the fields were replanted. But they do a nice job with samples and a charcuterie dish to enjoy while sipping on some vino. Plus they spoiled us by offering a variety of PISCO flavors which were outstanding, especially the FIRE has to be tried. The first winery, Vina Ballek Potopelao was very cool and the owners are great and very interesting. The wines were a bit young, but a little more aging will help. The last winery was more like a Napa or Sonoma type winery, large and professionally run. It was called Vina Undurraga and it was amazing. A beautiful property with an excellent Carmenere wine. Great tour of the facilities and a great example of a large winery compared to the two smaller ones. My only suggestion, would be to eliminate one of the smaller wineries and go with something that is more in the medium size with a solid tour of the operation. Also the lunch was great with a very nice menu. The main disappointment, was the tour said we were doing (4) wineries, and is actually is just (3).

5.00We had a lovely day with Esme and JC. Very informative and relaxed. 4 different wineries from small family boutique (1000 L per annum) to a large industrial winery (15 million L per annum). Tasted plenty of of wine. Really nice lunch. Great to the Maipo valley and learn more another chile . Tim and Jackie
