This tour will provide guests with a unique experience of the historic Manama souq and its importance in Bahrain's legacy and history. Guests will be mesmerized with traditional picturesque alleys of the historic souq in its candid nature. I will be explaining the history and the cultural importance of the souq and leading the tour to traditional coffee shop where guests will be delighted with Arabic coffee, and traditional snacks along the way. The tour includes the entrance of 2 cultural houses that have historic importance to the pearling diving history and the national love for Bahrain.

Bab el-Bahrain Souk
Bab Al Bahrain is a historical building located in the Customs Square in the central business district of Manama. It marks the main entrance to the Manama Souq. Opened in 1949 and designed by the British adviser to the emir, Charles Belgrave, Bab Al Bahrain once stood on the Manama coastline.
Post Museum
The original post office of Manama, situated directly behind Bab Al Bahrain, is now the location of a newly renovated museum that documents the history of postal services of Bahrain in all its eras. With content from Ministry of Transport and the Philatelic Bureau, the museum is home to an archive of photographs from the postal service since its inception, a complete catalogue of Bahraini stamps as well as stamps from all over the world, and a collection of vintage cancellations, scales, and franking machines. The museum includes a philatelic bureau counter where people can purchase new and collectible stamps and a café with a terrace that overlooks Bab Al Bahrain.

If you want to know and see Bahrain like you've never seen it before, this fantastic man can give you such a great experience. From a long walking tour through the old city to a pub crawl through the night life streets and even a food tour that is exceptional, Khalid will give you an experience you'll never forget. 5.00Khaled is an excellent guide. Articulate, engaging and very knowledgeable. We got to try local food and drinks. Not to be missed. Khaled showed us places we would have walked past and never known. It all went to prove having a good guide is money well spent. Anyone visiting Bahrain should take a tour with Khalid

5.00Good food, good experience. Khalid was a great guide. He took us to places that only local can find, and we tried traditional Bahraini food in the alleys we would never be able to find ourselves. This was an awesome experience that we learned so much not only about food, but also history. It is highly recommended if you want to learn something deep about Bahrain!

5.00Khaled is an amazing tour guide and takes us to hidden gems that the usual tourists won’t be able to find. The food stops were excellent and the cultural aspect of the tour was also very interesting. Highly recommend it!

5.00This is an awesome walking food tour. Khalid (KA) is an excellent tour guide, he taught us so much about Baharani history, culture and their food. The food was delicious and for sure 'off the beaten path' 'that most tourist would visit. However, this is not the only tour KA does, and I'm sorry I missed the other ones, but next visit for sure.

5.00This is a great tour of Manama souq, Khaled led us round the winding streets and pointed out interesting buildings and took us into fascinating places we would have not noticed walking past. We tasted lots of delicious different food and loved our Bahraini Breakfast. Highly recommended if you live in Bahrain as we do as he will take you to places you didn’t know existed

5.00This tour showed me the Manama Souq in a new light! Khalid is an excellent tour guide, and I was impressed by how well he navigated the streets. I had been to the Souq prior, but this tour highlighted historic sites that I did not notice before. Everyone who comes to Bahrain should take this tour - highly recommended!
