Welcome to Manaus, the main gateway to the Amazon rainforest and a city located in the middle of the jungle with an amazing and interesting history. In this half-day tour, you will see and learn about the rubber boom time, one of the most important economic cycles of the Amazon, and also visit some treasures left from that rich period when Manaus used to be called the Little Paris of the Tropics. In this, you will be led by an experienced and knowledgeable tour guide. Tour available in the morning and afternoon. On Mondays will be only sightseeing tours.

Teatro Amazonas

5.00We had a private city tour with Kemal who was amazing. He spoke perfect English and was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun to be with. He drove us around in his air conditioned car and stopped to explore many local points of interest. The palace was beautiful and the opera house was amazing.

5.00Our guide provided us with a wonderful opportunity to see and learn more about Manaus. He had thoughtful answers to our questions and allowed all of this to move along at a pace that suited us. We could not have been more pleased with this tour

4.00Manaus is a city that is quite hot, but it has great places to know the tasty cuisine. I didn't have much time, but I liked seeing the theater, the mirante. On the tip of Negra lack options of good restaurants to leave the place more attractive to tourism.

3.00We booked a 4-hour tour, with tickets to the theatre and the museum of the Amazon. The tour ended in less than 2 and a half hours and the guide said it would not take us to the museum because this was not planned on the tour. Anyway, we paid far more than we were provided!

5.00Great tour! He was informative and really made sure we saw as much as possible in the time we had. Rodolpho knew the history and really showed us the best of his city. At the market he showed us many things we found interesting and was generally just so aware of what we wanted to see. It was just a delightful tour.

5.00First: everything ran smoothly from initial booking to actually meeting up at the cruise terminal. Rodolpho had a very comfortable vehicle in excellent condition (good AC, too!) The tour had a generic itinerary on the website and first order of business was to discuss a plan based on our physical capacities and interests. His 25 years as a professional guide showed as he readily formed a new plan. Roldolfo remains deeply knowledgeable and passionate about his city, state, and country --never sounding bored or jaded as he shared information he's done hundreds of times before. When we showed extra interest in a particular aspect of life in Manaus, he readily adapted to go out of the main areas so we could learn more. Conversation flowed freely about many topics as he drove us around with great skill and calmness. He was always checking to make sure we were comfortable, did drop offs/pick ups with as little walking for us as possible, etc. Rodolfo was a wonderful, effective host/guide. You will have a great day in Manaus with him at your side no matter what you choose to see.

5.00Rudolpho is an exceptional guide who clearly loves his city. He is very knowledgeable about the history and current place of Manaus in Brazil and the wider world context. He was prompt, his car is new and comfortable, and he tailored the tour to our interests. He also suggested further exploration on our own near our hotel and we really enjoyed that as well. If you are cruising the Amazon and Manaus is your embarkation or debarkation city please add a day or 2 to your trip to explore this vibrant place with warm people. If you want a familiar English speaker for your departure he also does airport transfers. Highly recommend!
