You are probably quite familiar with white sand beaches but black sand beaches are an incredible singularity. You will be fascinated by the mesmerizing beauty of Monterrico Beach. The color of the sand comes from the nearby volcanoes.
The first day will be dedicated to nature and coastal activities. You will be amazed by the mangroves, watching birds, and practicing artisanal fishing.
Later, we will take you to eat at a delicious restaurant by the sea. At the end of the day, one of the most exclusive resorts in Guatemala will be waiting for you.

Either the trip starts from Guatemala City, or from Antigua Guatemala, both routes are scenic, and you´ll be able to see beautiful landscapes on your way to the Pacific Coast.
Upon our arrival at Monterrico black sand beach, a boat awaits us. We will take a boat ride through the mangrove canal. During our boat ride, we`ll appreciate the beauty of nature, do birdwatching, and practice artisanal fishing. If we are in the turtle egg spawning season, we will release a baby turtle to the seashore.
Monterrico
After enjoying all the coastal activities, we will take you to a nice restaurant to take lunch. Then, we`ll give you free time to have fun at the beach.
At the end of the day enjoy one of the most luxurious beachside resorts in Guatemala. The buffet will always be at your service, you will have unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, wifi and much more ... without a doubt, you will relax in the middle of the beach, the sun, and the good atmosphere. You will spend the night here and all the second day until your check-out.

Wake up the second day completely relaxed in your room by the sea. Enjoy your breakfast in the restaurants at your disposal, put on your swimsuit, and enjoy the pools and the fresh waters of the sea. Remember that you have unlimited drinks during your stay at the resort. At the time of your checkout, we will arrive in an air-conditioned vehicle so you can enjoy the way back home.
Guatemala City
The check-out at Oceana Resort will be at 11:59 am, so we`ll take you to have lunch at a nice restaurant and then get back to Guatemala city. The city will be waiting for us after a 3-hour road trip from Monterrico Beach. Sit back and relax, we will leave you safe and sound back to your hotel in Guatemala City or Antigua.
