Be aware that travelling around Manila takes time. We thoroughly enjoyed our day out visiting both the new and old parts of Manila. I would add a visit to the HQ of General Douglas Macarthur.

We had an incredible 5-hour tour of Manila on Saturday with our fantastic guide, Frank. His deep knowledge of Philippine history and genuine passion for his culture made the entire experience truly enriching. From the bustling financial hub of Makati to the moving American Cemetery, and the beautifully preserved district of Intramuros, Frank brought every location to life with insightful stories and historical context. We were especially impressed with how attentive and accommodating he was to our needs throughout the tour. Highlights included walking through Fort Santiago, admiring the intricate Baroque architecture of San Agustin Church, and learning about Filipino heroes like Dr. Jose Rizal.
