Our viewing location is the most ideal manta viewing location. We have just a short 5 minute boat ride out to our snorkel destination. Using our state of the art viewing board, our expert in water crew will guide you through the bay to view these beautiful animals. Enjoy approximately 30 minutes of in water viewing time.
This exciting night snorkel with Magnificent Manta Rays is an event you will never forget! This is a close encounter of a different kind, and you'll have memories to last a lifetime!

All participating guests must know how to swim and tread water. Snorkeling experience required.
This is a wild and free excursion. No refunds are given in the event we do not get to view mantas the night of your tour.
If you are unable to swim and would like to remain on the boat, we welcome you. "Ride alongs" are a paid ticket as it is a reserved seat on the boat.
We have full discretion to refuse service to guests based on attire, behavior, physical fitness & condition
Please arrive no later than your scheduled check in time, as we have important information to review prior to leaving the dock, as well as outfit all guests with the equipment needed for the tour.
Restroom facilities not available on boat

This tour is not for those with major medical conditions or heart conditions
Guests must be physically and mentally capable of listening to and obeying safety instructions
This is an open ocean experience at night. Young children may be scared of the dark waters and large animals.
Children who are frighten and crying will be escorted back aboard with a guardian. No Exceptions
Transportation NOT provided.
This trip is not for individuals who are afraid the dark, deep water, or large animals.
Snorkel vest provided for children 12 and under. Snorkel vest available to rent for all others.

4.00WOW now this is what I call an experience you have to book this if your in Kona. The water was a really choppy the night we went but I felt safe with the captain, overall the experience was a 10/10. The Rays put on a great show for us, they came so close they were side swiping me. Highly recommend!

1.00Wouldn’t let us snorkel because we didn’t go to a seperate place to check in, that was a 5-8 minute drive away that was stated in an email that we got later because our phones didn’t have good service in the area of the island. Signed the waiver text but didn’t get other text in the time before we went to boat location? Then lady who was at boat location said we did it wrong and we were to to make the boat even if we tried to go to check in place short drive away and that we should just go in morning and see if we can reschedule or get refund? Then lady from dolphin discoveries gave me a courtesy call as she phrased it, to see why we never checked in? I explained what they told us about doing it wrong and we couldn’t go but she rudely disagreed. She said we should have tried to make it. I told her we had already gotten ride back to hotel and were told it’s a. O go! She apologized and said they had new people working and the lady from her company shouldn’t have told me that since in her estimation we could have made it or at least it would have been close! Well we are dealing with one older lady in our group. They don’t even have the check in place on Apple Maps currently. Of course they cant give refund and Viator blames company and company blaming Viator. It was total BS! Viator and dolphin discoveries both stating that the 2 different locations are clear but they are not! I will never use either again and I will post negative reviews hoping others don’t either.

4.00The manta rays were so gentle, huge, and amazing! Our guides did a great job of situating everyone, telling us history and trivia about these incredible creatures, and getting everyone in and out without making us feel rushed. Some minor cons: 1) two of us got seasick towards the end (be sure to consider meds), 2) the staff did as good a job as possible with the directions to the office and bay, but it was still mildly difficult to find, especially since street lights aren’t as prevalent in the area, 3) there were 25 guests on the boat and we got stuck next to some drunk 20 year olds who were kind of rowdy and one of them kept swiping down and seemed to scare the rays away at one point, 4) there is nowhere to shower or change at the end. Still, only one of the 4 cons above are things that could have been helped. This is a huge bucket list activity for nature lovers who also love to snorkel and don’t get seasick.

5.00This is a once in a lifetime experience! Don’t miss it!! Great trip. It was raining so the water was rough. It made it more fun. Once you’re in the water you forget you’re in the ocean at night. We must have been surrounded by at least 10 mantas. Great crew!
