This Marine Dune day will be the highlight of your Namibia Tour. The Catamaran Dolphin and seal cruise is very popular added with the Sandwich harbor Dune drive, is the best Namibia has to offer. Its a full day, its a lot of input to work through, but its worth it.
Our guides are knowledgeable and careful, skilled dune drivers. Safety is important.

German speaking guides cannot be guaranteed on every tour. The owner is German speaking. Should he be pre booked we can unfortunately he will not be available
As Namibia official language is English and German speaking population is very small we cannot guarantee German speaking tour guides esp. in peak season and when a Cruise liner is in the Harbour
please note all Cruise Liner passengers, your tour pick up time starts an hour after you have docked. The tour will depart latest an hour and a half after the pick up time. Late comers are considered a no show
Please note we do our Dolphin Cruise with Pelican Dolphin Cruises which is our own in-house company.

Walvis Bay Waterfront
The Catamaran Cruise departs at 08h30 from the Waterfront and returns about 12h00. Enroot to we will Pelicans Seals and often Dolphins. On a good day we could spot the Sunfish (Mola Mola) and even Whales (in the whaling season). Sometimes Pelicans fly really close, some land in the Catamaran, and we stop at the seal colony to view the 50000 strong seal colony from the sea. Sammy the seal often jumps in the back of our Catamaran, and he can be photographed really close. Snacks, like Sherry, beer, coffee light finger eats and oysters are served on the Catamaran. We return to the waterfront where we are met by our Sandwichharbourtours.com guide who takes us out to Sandwich Harbor. Time to embark and disembark the Catamaran is not included in the time (this takes about 20 minutes) We collect you along the coast at your accommodation with a Minibus at the designated start time. Take along a wind jacket If you are on a Cruise liner, we meet you at the Ship and walk across to the Catamaran
Walvis Bay Esplanade
From the Waterfront we proceed to the Esplanade and stop at the Pink Flamingos we drop the air of our Tyres and go past the pink Salt lakes onto the windswept shore seeing many birds, seals and even Black backed Jackals on our way south to Sandwich harbor.

5.00Such a wonderful experience from start to finish! The whole team was so lovely to be around, friendly, caring, and full of good vibes. Andrew, our guide, was amazing: funny, informative, and also a great driver who made us feel comfortable the entire time. The food provided was really yummy, and everything was so well organized. We were even picked up and dropped off at home, which made the day completely stress-free. I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone — you’ll have a fantastic time! 5.00We drove the Sandwichhotbour Tour with our guide Volker. It was an incredibly beautiful trip. The view from the dunes to the sea is breathtaking. The dune ride was pure adrenaline. Volker entertained us the ride about well and gave us interesting information about nature and economy. We can recommend this tour to anyone who comes to Namibia once.

5.00We booked the full day tour and were picked up directly at the hotel in Swakopmund! First we took the catamaran for a good three-hour boat tour. We could see some whales and dolphins and of course sea lions and pelicans! The whole crew - especially Christel- was very accommodating, informative and very friendly! After that, Volker went to Sandwich Harbor! What can I say? INCOMPRESSIBLE! Great scenery, extremely nice guide ! We had an unforgettable day! Thank you for this great experience!

5.00Everything worked out from the hotel pickup to the return trip to the hotel. Both the catamaran tour and the Sandwich Harbour tour were exciting.

4.00Pickup from hotel was an hour late as the driver was given the same time to pickup guests from hotels 35 km distant. Hotel staff not able to contact travel company Catamaran trip was great, saw 3 whales and then stopped in front of a seal colony - one came on board to be fed. Dune drive also very pleasurable
Skip the boat but Sandwich Harbour is highly recommended!!!

5.00We especially liked our guide LeClue during the Sandwich Harbour drive. He gave a lot of information about what to see and he is for Max Verstappen!!! The catamaran tour we found somewhat disappointing. We had to wait 1 hour with a group of 20 participants for 2 participants who were late. In our experience, the latecomers should have booked another tour. We found a seal that has to jump on the boat actually a bit fake. The whole ambiance on the boat we found substandard.

5.00We started the day with the boat trip and it was great. We saw 2 humpback whales, a pelican came on board and walked around, as did a seal. Really great. Then we went into the desert with our driver Gerhard. Fantastic views, great explanations from Gerhard (and by the way what a great driver) and a meal in the sand dunes. An absolutely marvellous day!
