5.00Tahar was an excellent, patient guide as we toured the souks in the Marrakech Medina. This was our first time and he knew exactly where to take us, especially when your shopping experience can be a little intimidating. We are two girlfriends who learned how to shop for leather, for carpets, oils, beauty secrets at the pharmacy and so much more. Tahar had so much patience, knowledge, experience, and was a joy to walk with throughout our tour. He was always looking out for our safety also. I highly recommend booking this tour with Tahar when you are in Marrakesh. We took his other cultural and informative tour. That was also fantastic to learn about the people of Marrakesh, the history and the sites. Do not miss this tour when you visit Marrakesh or the other tours that Tahar leads.

5.00Don't do the souks alone—go with Tahar! The Ultimate Rug Experience - The highlight of our day was visiting a rug gallery that Tahar hand-selected. It wasn't just a shop; it was a cultural masterclass. The men there weren't "salesmen" in the traditional sense; they were true entertainers who made the history of the craft come alive. They sell on consignment on behalf of the Berber women from the Atlas Mountains. We walked in with zero intention of buying, but the rugs were so stunning and the atmosphere was so welcoming that our entire group ended up walking away with a piece of Moroccan art. We happily have the rugs in our homes in the US. Note, they ship the rugs for free! Expert Bargaining and Hidden Gems - Tahar also led us to an incredible leather shop where the quality was unmatched. I walked away with a beautiful, custom-feeling suede jacket that I absolutely love. You cannot find the right stores or negotiate the souks effectively without someone like Tahar. Tahar acted as our shield and our advocate; he knew exactly where to go for quality, how to weed out the "tourist junk," and most importantly, how to secure prices we never could have gotten on our own.

5.00We had an incredible time on this excursion with a couple of friends. We were all first-timers in Morocco. Our tour guide, Tahar Baba, was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. We learned a lot of fascinating things about traditional Moroccan culture. It was a truly memorable experience!!
